Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
Fps games can get praise if they do things right. Look at wolfenstein new order. Theres a shit ton of open world games that sucked and were reviewed bad too. Rockstar make high quality games it isn't a bias its just that halo has done nothing new in its last few iterations. Its a popcorn action game with no substance.
Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
COD ruined the FPS genre
That's why FPS gets shat on these days
Besides
Everything COD is came from Halo
INNOVATION
Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown

I wish Halo 5 would have been released in 2016, so I can see U4 take a giant dump on it.

this just in: west-side works at metacritic
Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
less than a week til Halo 5
Keep the eyes peeled for good reviews
If Halo 4 was like a 97 on IGN, Halo 5 should get a 100
Some anonymously sourced reports at the time claimed Hennig was "forced out" by The Last of Us scribes Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, who took over leadership on Uncharted 4, but Naughty Dog later denied those reports directly. A number of other senior developers at Naughty Dog also left the company in the wake of Hennig's departure, including director Justin Richmond, lead character artist Michael Knowland, and art director Nate Wells.
What does that have to do with anything?
Pretty sure I already exposed your dumb ass earlier by outlining who directed which games at Naughty Dog.
I'm not explaining it again to your ignorant ass.
Fact is, we've ALREADY seen the game-play footage and it looks spectacular (as always). Amy was the leader for Drake's Fortune and Deception; two inferior games to (Uncharted 2 & TLOU).
In other words; BOTH games that Bruce was the lead on won GAME OF THE YEAR [The Last of Us & Uncharted 2]. Amy won jack shit with her titles.
Sure she would have helped (with her writing) but Bruce already proved he doesn't need her to create an all-time great game [The Last of Us].
Keep hoping and praying bud, the greatness arrives on March, 2016.
Naughty Dog Hires The Order: 1886 Environment and Lighting Artists for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Naughty Dog has entered the final phase of development of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and since the release date on March 18th isn’t so far away, they hired new talent to help. Given that we’re talking about graphics, they went to find it among some of the best in the field.
The house of Uncharted recently hired David Budlong and Huan Tran, who worked respectively as an Environment Artist and Lighting Artist on The Order: 1886.
Budlong was the primary environment modeler for several levels of Ready at Dawn’s beautiful game. Tran took care of the in-engine lighting of environments, characters and cinematics, including the Whitechapel Hospital, which featured some absolutely masterful lighting, creating an eerie and really creepy atmosphere.

Naughty Dog Hires Extremely Talented Artist for Uncharted 4; Check Out His Awesome Artwork and Videos
Naughty Dog has always been well known for attracting extremely talented artists and developers, and this month they hired another that definitely fits the bill, Andrew Maximov. They also didn’t waste any time and already put him at work on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End according to his linkedin profile.
We learn that Maximov is an expert with Unreal Engine 4, physically based rendering, shader creation, scripting, particle effects and also works on concept art. He can “set up some of the most efficient art production pipelines in the industry, fully including next gen” and do “Lighting-fast full environment production (ideation, conception, blockout, modeling, texturing, shaders, set dressing, lighting & atmospherics)”
Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
It goes
1. Halo
2. MGS
3. Uncharted
The more games of a franchise you make, the harder it becomes to keep at the top of the game with the critics
Halo 1 - 97 Metacritic
Halo 2 - 95 Metacritic
Halo 3 - 94 Metacritic
Halo Reach - 91 Metacritic
Halo 4 - 87 (Was 90 but dropped after 343 made a public comment saying they were happy with 90)
Halo 5 - Predicted to be 93-97 range
Uncharted 1 - 88
Uncharted 2 - 96
Uncharted 3 - 92
Those numbers don't stack up to Halo... 3 games in and already dropping into the 80's
MGS is the only true contender against Halo
MGS 1 - 94
MGS 2 - 96
MGS 3 - 91
MGS 4 - 94
MGS 5 - 93
