Re: The 2017 off-season...Hayward, Hill, Ingles...?
Have to look at the minutes available too. Burks gonna get enough time behind Hood, JJ and Ingles to put up 15 a game?
Favors I could understand keeping because the big man depth is thin and I doubt Lyles is ready for starting minutes, but i'd be happy with them moving him on and finding someone in free agency who fits better with Gobert on the floor.
First off I think they need to let Ingles and Johnson go. They need to build a team that can compete with GS. They sucked against GS and I just can't see paying them the big money at their age. They had great years. Love the Joe's but it is a business. With the Jazz track record I would certainly expect them to keep them though especially since Hayward and Ingles are apparently close and he appears to have a great relationship with the coach as well. They have a long history of keeping guys beyond their usefulness.
You got to try to showcase Burks and Favors if they are up for it. Better than paying teams to take them off your hands.
I think if if Favors returns to form that he will be dealt unless he starts hitting the 3 which I doubt. The best line-up will be Rudy with 4 guys that can spread the floor. I can see Bolomboy in the rotation ahead of Lyles right now

Don't try to lay that on Ty. That's on your can't do no wrong front office as are all their lottery picks since then and it's looking pretty grim with Lyles and Exum left to show for the tanking
an undersized rookie
He's an inch shorter than Mack and Hill. Wouldn't call him undersized exactly
But will that be enough to earn him a roster spot on next year
the Jazz will have the luxury of offering him a fifth year on a new deal if he opts out. Other teams will only be able to give him four years.
He's going to want an opt out regardless. I'm guessing he opts out and signs a 2 year deal with a player option for the 2nd. Than he will be eliglble for the 35% I believe. That's assuming he signs with the Jazz of course which might not be in his best interests if winning is most important like he says. What's the difference between 132 million and 180 million really?

JJ probably has decent value at the moment thanks to his performances in the playoffs and the fact he's only gonna cost a team $10 million or so. I could certainly see an also contender like LA Clippers thinking about adding him if they decide to go around again, especially since they're losing Paul Pierce and he'd mean they might not need to play guys like Felton, Rivers or Mbah a Moute as much.

He's got to have value after what he did to the Clipps for sure and they wanted him in the off-season as well. If they'd had 22 million over 2 years I imagine he would have been there too! :lol

Not to me. Hood seemed to make the most sense as a 6th man and still does despite his feelings on the matter
Early in the season he suffered a knee injury that he never came back from. Favors even admitted that he never really felt 100 percent, even when he came back from his injury.
Was hurt in the summer!
Nevertheless, despite the struggles, the Jazz are going to stand by Favors and support him, hoping for a redemption next season.
Probably until they can raise his trade value anyway

Kanter was picked higher than Exum and Burke. None worked out for the Jazz either.
Lindsey is a mastermind?
