Re: Round 1, Hornets @ Mavericks game 3, Fri 8pm ET
hornets kinda choked under the pressure tonight.. they are young and it's gonna happen, happened in the last 6 games of the season too when the conference championship was on the line... mavs showed alot of poise, came in and got the job done, it's a whole new series now
The Hornets also looked like they lacked the same amount of energy they played with in games 1 and 2.
They will play much better in game 4!
Dude, the Mavs didn't say anything about Paul's grandfather. Julius Hodge from NC State when Paul was in college said something and Chris Paul knocked him in the jewels for it. Quit getting all hot and bothered over the Mavs when you have no idea what happened.
yeah my fault about that.Thats why i put the question mark.

This was another test for them. They haven't won a game in Dallas this season (or the past 10 years for that matter, but those were different times), and you have to remember this was their first road playoff game. I'm not trying to make excuses, but I think this team will come out Sunday with better execution.
Imagine if Deron Williams was on the Mavs. Paul wouldn't even record a basket or an assist for the rest of his career in Dallas.

WOW....the Mavs grew some b@lls.
Good for them!

I find it hilarious how Dirk balls in NO and everyone says "I don't care what his stats are, he's a pansy and they lost". Then he balls and they get the win at home and all I see is "the Mavs are in trouble and Dirk only had 19 boards because the Hornets didn't get good position...they won't win because they're all pansies." He gets 0 props no matter what he does. He's having a terrific series and the hate is insane.
The main difference between the two previous games and this game was different defensive adjustments and Jet showed up to play. Dirk's been doing his thing all series and noone recognizes or cares to recognize.
And about Dirk falling on the jumpshot...I have seen Lebron, Wade, Nash, Melo, Ginobli, Parker, and Kobe pull the same move. Call it a flop because it is, but don't act like Dirk is the only one in the NBA that does it.

Re: Round 1, Hornets @ Mavericks game 3, Fri 8pm ET
12/01 Mavs +6 in fouls
12/14 Hornets +2 in fouls
2/20 Mavs +1 in fouls
4/16 Hornets +4 in fouls
Game 1 Hornets +2 in fouls
Game 2 Mavs +3 in fouls
Game 3 Hornets +11 in fouls

Oh I get it...it's the ref's fault. So the same thing that everyone bashes the Mavs for gets used against them...
Can't say that makes much sense.

Do you honestly believe the refs called the game the SAME WAY on BOTH ENDS of the court?

please. stop crying about the refs. Mavs fans have never been allowed to do this.
Kings fans were never allowed when they were getting royally screwed against the Lakers. The Suns fans weren't vs the Spurs last year. Anyone getting elbowed in the head by Shaq or even Karl Malone was never allowed to cry about it.
So guess what, you arent either. the Mavs set the tone for the night so they got the calls. maybe if your boys had come out more aggressive it would have been different. BTW, by your logic the Mavs should have won game 1.
Do you honestly believe the refs called the game the SAME WAY on BOTH ENDS of the court?
I honestly think that the Mavs were at home and got the benefit of some calls, but to call the refs out is a bs move. Had West hit his open jumpers the refs wouldn't have been a factor anyways. I'm pretty sure back when the Mavs lost in the finals, you'd be saying the same thing against them when Mavs fans were claiming the refs were biased. They actually had a legit case back then and everyone still jumped on them for suggesting the refs were calling a bad game.
This team is damned if they do, damned if they don't around here. There is literally nothing the Mavericks can do at this point to get respect from anyone on this board. They're not even my team and I feel the need to back them up against some of the crap I'm reading in this thread.
