Re: Do people believe Kobe's personality is contrived?
Am I talking about thespians? Am I addressing the GOAT actor statement? Which BTW clearly belongs to either Shaq for his performance in SHAZAM or Dr. J in the Fish that Saved Pittsburgh.
Just because you included GOAT basketball player, with a bunch of sarcastic claims, doesn't mean that was once again your passive-aggressive way of sneaking in what you actually feel and don't have the balls to say?
:facepalm
Yeah I'm really scared of upsetting the Jordan mythologists around here. You caught me.

Who is angry? All of ISH just wants you to muster up the courage to say what you feel, without the passive-aggressive feminine troll methodology.

But I can't you guys are just so smart. Your arguments are so sound. RRR3's pictures are just so biting. I'm going to hide behind my original statements that Kareem is the greatest of all time. That Jordan offensive numbers are inflated due to playing in an era of ineffective defense and facing weaksauce defenses especially in the Finals. That his abandoning his championship level teammates to play little league baseball is the most glossed over travesty in sports. That the Bulls defense was actually more effective while he was playing little league as further evidence that he is grossly overrated as a defender. That his sycophant fans were so deluded by corporate marketing that can't even admit all of the above despite overwhelming statistical evidence for fear of someone like Kobe Bryant passing him on the leaderboards.

So in essence you're an upset long time Laker fan.
MJ and now LeBron > Kobe, Kareem, Magic, West ?
Now I see why the fury. Gotcha.

Re: Do people believe Kobe's personality is contrived?
DIfference between Mj's arrogance and Kobe is that kobe's is contrived while you know Mj is really just being himself...
saw this clip earlier and it just exemplifies Mj's natural swag.. even after his playing days

Jordans swag only seems natural because he is the GOAT. Kobe could act the same exact way and people would call it contrived. You see what you want to see.
Its Jordan's status that makes it look natural.

Re: Do people believe Kobe's personality is contrived?
Maybe it's his attempt to answer the questions of the Lakers' toughness. I don't know, but in the playoffs, his performances generally follow one of two themes: (1) He takes over the game and taunts everybody in sight, demanding that all acknowledge his greatness or (2) he steps back and intentionally doesn't take over a game, in which case his attitude seems to be, "See what they look like without me?" Either way, it's a tough act to embrace.
This is so true. Kobe does this often. I've even seen him do it in person. It's as though he decided to stop being aggressive and instead show everyone, "Hey, look at how poorly we play when I'm not doing most of the work." I hate that shit.
I love Kobe's game, but he seems like a complete jackass IRL. Similar thing with LeBron.
The thing about these elite NBA personalities with terrible characteristics is that they've been getting their asses kissed since childhood. Everyone has done nothing but tell these guys how great they are or will be. All that ass kissing has gotten to their heads & now they know nothing less. That's why you realize just how douchey they really are in person. They act like the world still owes them something, even when everyone is already calling them great.
Re: Do people believe Kobe's personality is contrived?
Only Lebronites care about stuff like that because most of them are 13 year olds and the one that aren't are couch potatoes.
Re: Do people believe Kobe's personality is contrived?
Yes.
A lot of athletes/celebs seem to have contrived personalities.
Kobe is yet another one of them.
