Other guys I'm surprised weren't drafted
Trae
Morant
Booker
Mitchell
Petrovic
Artest
Peja
Schrempf
Iggy
Webber
Good list except for Detlef. And Webber was drafted, I snagged him

I think you should just put the names without assuming the rotation. Those definitely aren't the rotation I'd use.

Forgot to mention peak years, I know it should be assumed but u never know
7 early votes for your boy. :lebronamazed:
Forgot to mention peak years, I know it should be assumed but u never know
I'm sure they will assume these players are in their prime. Don't see why not.
87 Lakers team is running away with it but clav is high IQ
I'm going #6, Payton isn't starting... but 3 of my fave defensive players on that squad with Bird Payton and AK47
++ INCLUDING Walton, who at prime level was incredible with Dwight as his back up. Sign me up.
This team will get possessions for free and has Bird Billups Dumars and Duncan for major nerves of steel. Took me until now to mention Duncan ? Lets go team 6. Bird in today's game ? Give me 12 3-pt PG on 40-45%, please!
Team 3 though, yikes. Jordan Kawhi Admiral Sheed Artis.... okay... uhh yeah I put my bias for T6 above the titanic combo of a Kawhi and Jordan wing tandem with AT Assists leader Stockton...... *gulp*
Honestly was just drafting in general too, didn't know it was specific to today's era. Would've probably drafted more modern guys, but fair game to 87 lakers

Yeah that's a big fail in the poll. Also he just assumed the rotation of teams and not mention peak. :lol
Stop the count!
Yeah that's a big fail in the poll. Also he just assumed the rotation of teams and not mention peak. :lol
Butthurt.
:pimp:
I'll admit I should have specified which rules we were playing. That is on me. But don't blame me for drafting 3 point guards.

It's whatever though lol, it's for fun. I think those guys aren't putting in real time to judge, and looking at each guys peak year stats would be incredibly tedious... so name value goes a long way
I knew my team would get a bit underrated on the surface but I still think it's the best overall team when accounting for shooting, passing, defense, chemistry and intangibles
I'll fukking fight anyone that says otherwise too:crazysam:

Yea, I don't think anyone really cares who wins/lose based off a poll lol. Just saying there's big flaws that doesn't need to be.

I agree with th3 dude who said we should do a bracket style
You should get the bye based on the vote.
Matchups and strategies are too important :crazysam:
Someone who has the newest 2K game should simulate a league or something.
Shit, someone gave my team a vote, I’m happy. Someone else said my team could very well be slept on. Not bad.
Quotes on my team.
Team 3 though, yikes. Jordan Kawhi Admiral Sheed Artis.... okay... uhh yeah I put my bias for T6 above the titanic combo of a Kawhi and Jordan wing tandem with AT Assists leader Stockton...... *gulp*
I have team 3 here. The only thing close to a weak link is PF with Sheed. But there's a solid backup in Bosh and both guys have the role players skills that would be useful as they'd be role players at this level. Good balance of skills (guys with star-level talent that can transition to unfair good role players in an all-star type setting) and probably the easiest team to ego manage. Everybody else has some flaws, some minor, some big.
Know what. Still team 3. Ray Allen would be lethal in today’s game, even more than he was then. And Bosh, Sheed, Admiral… plus presumably healthy Kawhi and Pierce, an unhandchecked Stockton with Walt behind him?
Team 1 - One of the best, but a bit weak on the perimeter for this level
Team 2 - Severe lack of perimeter talent. Only 3 guys who can credibly play PG/SG/SF. Since I won't assume future peaks for youth, Zion is the worst player here.
Team 4 - Also very good. A bit weak on shooting from the forward rotation.
Team 5 - Probably #2. Not sure Tatum's quite there yet - though would just start Havlicek. Nitpicking the bench depth is a little worst than 3.
Team 6 - Also really solid. Short-peak guys (McGrady, Walton) may be causing be to underrate them.
Team 7 - I think you lose value with Russell at PF, especially next to a low-post only C like Shaq. In general the roster is low on offense-creation for play at this level even with the best overall defense.
Team 8 - Another very good option. Bench on the weak side.
Team 9 - Frontcourt offense and general quality is too limited to compete at this level.
Team 7 aka Im still ballin, we had a discussion about this earlier in the draft. lol.
Thanks for participating everyone. It was fun.

If it helps you feel better I thought you had a top 3 team in this draft behind my team and SouBeachTealents. That realgm poster might be right in saying your team is getting underrated because Walton & T-Mac's peaks were so short.
SouBeachTalents team is absolutely stacked in top heavy talent, just think my team fits a bit better.
I'll vote

Placed in brackets head to head, would be a better way to decide IMO.

Thanks for your input, why do you have team 5 so low? Realgm currenty has them #2. Team 1 IMO could really use some more shooting, but they are somewhat underrated. I probably have them somewhere between top 4-5.

I agree with you having Team 6 (AlternativeAcc) in the top 3.
Team 2 to me is by far the worst.
she is so intimidating she couldn't get her name capitalized here or even mentioned on the other site
also incorrect assumptions about lineups which is another sign of fear

Man, I don't care where real gm have em at lol.
I did this as I was goin to bed, and team 5 kept falling for some reason. But I was sleepy so that may have something to do with it.
I will probably go in depth on each team later today.
Why are you voting at real GM? That place is low iq.
Why are you voting at real GM? That place is low iq.
Wasn't my original idea. AlternativeAcc. was the first to suggest it and I thought it would be better to make a poll there compared to ISH with all these trolls running around.

I agree those are the top 3 teams
I also think my team beats yours head to head...
I think my team spaces the floor better AND passes much better while having two elite rim protectors. Stockton is a good 3 point shooter but on very low volume. We know Duncan can guard Wallace effectively while being a much more dominant offensive player... Jordan is the best scorer on both teams but I have Payton and Dumars off the bench too while having 3 elite rim protectors. So my team would probably nullify him the best.
Bench wise you have two great shooters in Allen and pierce but they're not great defensively, especially Allen. I have Mullins whose a great shooter and overall scorer too. I think my bench is better too if we just compared them 5v5

Sorry bro, even the poster who picked your team in the realgm thread admitted he was biased and was secretly drooling over my team.
Sorry bro, even the poster who picked your team in the realgm thread admitted he was biased and was secretly drooling over my team.
Which team is yours?
Sorry bro, even the poster who picked your team in the realgm thread admitted he was biased and was secretly drooling over my team.
My team objectively spaces the floor better, passes much better at almost every position including the bench, and defends the paint better, while having more versatility with AK47 off the bench who could easily guard Wallace or bosh while having much more offensive impact than both. I could rotate AK47 with either walton or Duncan if needed, and he gives me elite offensive impact still with great off ball play and passing.
They voted for your team off name value and assumptions, but when you analyze our teams head to head my team is better and has all the pieces to nullify your biggest strengths.
Which team is yours?
Team 3
Iamgine crying because his rotations were messed up, I fixed his rotations to look more respectful more than 12 hours ago and he still hasn't received a vote while I have received like 4 more votes.
The reason why I listed the teams like that and not just a list is because it gives posters a better sense if they fit or not.
Match up style while providing 2 year peak stats and a general strategy for each team would be far more accurate.
Listing both of our teams head to head with stats and strategy provided would yield a much closer result than what the poll suggests. I think your team pops the most because they see Jordan as GOAT, Stockton as best passer, Robinson as most athletic center, Allen as best 3 point shooter, Wallace as a stretch 4, and kawhi as a two player and recency bias.
But it's far more nuanced than that.
Lol. A realgm mod just threatened to lock my thread because I keep bumping it. Damn those people are uptight.
Lol. A realgm mod just threatened to lock my thread because I keep bumping it. Damn those people are uptight.
Yeah, for all the shit mods let posters get away with here, they seem WAY too uptight about shit over there. So while they for sure have better, more nuanced discussions there, the rigidness makes it almost a joyless place to post
The perfect forum would find a happy medium between this place and that one.
