Former NBA star Allen Iverson is joining a regional basketball league in the Dominican Republic for a month.
Team president Milton Nunez told The Associated Press on Thursday the 36-year-old guard will play for Pueblo Nuevo. He declined to say how much Iverson will be paid.

"He and his agent have told us that he has been training a lot and that even if he hasn't been playing anywhere, he has what we need to help Pueblo Nuevo," team president Milton Nunez said.

Iverson is almost 37 yrs.old. It sucks that He didn't win an NBA Championship.

I share your sentiment about Iverson's heart, but it's just not true that his partying and drinking kept him out of the NBA. He was blackballed, simple as that.
From all the stories, news reports and courtcases looks like Iverson always been an asshole to anyone who's not in his crew. He's made his own mess during his life, funny the sympathy he is getting now.
