Numbers lie in football too. I think the only stats that can pretty much taken at face value is baseball.

Football players numbers lie HARD. Plenty of "stat padding" in blowouts. QB/WR's numbers don't look as good in a run heavy system, RB's numbers don't look as good in a pass heavy system (unless they can catch and run). And that's not even mentioning how much the game has changed rendering it near impossible to compare stats across eras.

They don't lie when it's in relation to the best center in the league.
