lebron is an egomaniac, but then so are most superstars. i think his standout problems are moreso his passive-agressive approach to decision-making, his large throng of yes-men, and the overestimation of his own coaching / GM skills.

the head coach is also way too important of a position to undermine or simply not get the best effort from. lebron should ordinarily be helping to build trust and communication with the coach, not waving off his plays, making him look bad, and making his job a PITA.

similar thing with kevin love. i mean, considering how much he persuaded the cavs to trade for him, it's rather mind-boggling the way lebron has gone out of his way to make love feel marginalised. it's like lebron is saying "we're going to win a championship at the time and place of my choosing, but it has to be done my way, with my people...... because i know best."

so yeah, maybe it is just pure egomania at the bottom of the well. and/or maybe a truckload of insecurity.
