Where does he rank amongst centers and players overall?
He's a top 5 player dragging that shit roster to 11-9
Another L for 3ball.
As of now I would say lower top 10. Jokic/Giannis/Luka, Embiid,AD, KD, Steph, SGA. After that you can argue him with the likes of Tatum and ANT. I have him currently over Lebron because despite his stats, he really does not impact winning in the +/- column. Wembys presence singularly keeps the Spurs in the top half of the league in terms of DRtg, remove him and they're probably near the bottom( based on last year anyway, I assume it's similar this year). His presence in the paint alone causes guys to miss shots in anticipation of where he is, or he's swatting them away as a clip of nearly 4 per game and he's not even playing full starter minutes. You'd have to go back to the heyday of guys like Hakeem, Admiral and Mutumbo to find guys blocking shots at that rate, and they were playing heavier minutes in a era with more interior play allowing for more shotblocking opportunities. I can't say I'm a fan of the ten 3's a game because really nobody is a serious threat to challenge his shot if he wanted to play more around the elbow, but that's more on coaching and just what the league is now, so it's whatever.

Yeah I can’t think of many players better and he’s not even close to his peak. Terrifying.

He’s dumb as a rock, genuinely has no idea how to analyze basketball :oldlol:

He’d have to shoot a pretty crazy percentage from the elbow to match the PPP he gets by shooting 35% on 3s. It’s better he shoots 3s and at the rim.

I just think it's letting the defense off the hook because nobody really can match him physically and when he does get in the post, a few dribbles and he's up and over the top of basically everyone. But again, it's really the nature of the league and the way he's being coached so it is what is. I made a post on here I think last week where I said the ideal offensive playstyle for him would be like Raptors Chris Bosh( obviously with the potential of being far more dominant). Before getting to the Heat Bosh was a face-up offensive player, basically either shooting from the elbow or using his quickness and athleticism to drive. It was ideal because, like Wemby, he lacked bulk so couldn't really bang down low. Playing at the elbow doesn't mean just shooting from there, I just mean that's basically the area he operates in and mix it up with a combo of jumpers, quick spin moves into the paint or just rim-running where he's a perpetual lob threat or clean-up guy. Also, he's taking four free throws a night, again because so much of his game is 3 pointers he's not putting enough pressure on the defense inside when he singularly could be getting teams into the penalty.
He should play at the rim more but I don’t want him taking midrange shots unless it’s to bail out a possession. It’s a good weapon to have for tight games but it’s not an area I want my star operating from. You have to be Durant or Dirk level from there for it to be an elite form of offense.

Embiid isn’t top 10 so far. His stats are mediocre, his team is 0-4 with him and he has a negative plus minus.
I Games and while it isn’t something, he’s really trying to force Paul being there is adding that extra couple layups that make me think by the end of the year gonna be pretty ridiculous statistically. When he’s really used to someone like that who doesn’t miss? Who doesn’t take that extra half second to realize they should pass it?
Kareem wrote a whole page in his book about how he didn’t appreciate how good Oscar Robertson was until he played with him and saw the difference between a normal player and a genius who knew you were open before you did. Who always got it right to the right spot in o make it easy while others would pass it half a second late and make it a hassle.
Im seeing some of that with Wemby and Paul and once they get it down it’s gonna be trouble. Lucky for everyone Paul doesn’t have 10 years left.
#3 among centers
#9 overall

Would you say he's the best prospect since LeBron?

He should never get the ball down low ever again due to not being able to post up Batum last season.

You've been desperately begging for my attention for weeks, it's so embarrassing.
