Horford: 1-10
Tatum: 2-10
White: 3-11
16-54 as a team. They shot more threes than twos.
And they still lost to the Pacers who only took 23 threes. That’s less than half.
The game is broken.

You just shoot 3’s for the regular season and let the law of averages generate enough wins to make the playoffs. 3’s are the most effortless way to play basketball, allowing the C’s to leave gas in the tank for the postseason and avoid injuries. More and more teams have adopted this philosophy and it’s only going to get worse.
thats crazy, almost as crazy as the fact that OP weighs 400 pounds.
Knicks beat the Magic by 23 (on the road) last Friday and only went 4-15 from 3. All their other shots were falling

As I've said a few times recently, shooting under 35% on 40 attempts ain't efficient basketball. It's all fine when the shots are falling, but you're gonna have your 10/40 nights and it's just hideous to watch. And they just keep shooting because teams have set their entire strategies around generating 3's, and a generation of players who only knows 3's and layups, so there's no fallback for the off-nights.
Normally when a team loses a game you can look up their stats and find something bad.

That’s why they will be rudely scraped in playoffs, esp without Porzingis.

At this point it's not surprising anymore since they were averaging 51 a game or something?
The NBA has clearly shifted to an offensive focus on three point shooting, but defense hasn't adapted yet. Every team, every game, they're leaving shooters wide open for three point shots time after time. Sometime an open shooter is a result of good offensive plays, but many times it's not. When are teams going to learn they have to change up their defense to match the new offense?
Pretty interesting tactic from OP, trying to mask the fact that he weighs 400 lbs.

no shit
historically when the 3-ball isn't working you find an alternative. That's not evident in todays game... it is too one-dimensional and I think that is what OP was suggesting

And I am pointing out how silly this is. The Celtics are playing their worst ball in two seasons and still one of the best teams in the NBA. The last two weeks have been rough but they're still likely to win 60 and won a Championship. But they need to change everything up because they are having their first losing streak in years? OP is just hoping that the Celtics are weak enough that the knicks have a chance.

Well, here-in lies the issue. If you fall behind due to your 3ball not falling, you kind of need 3’s to get back in the game. Most great comebacks in basketball history have come due to getting out from long range. Plus, shooter’s mentality. If I’m 1/8 shooting, that just means I’m going 5 or 6 on my next 8.

Yikes. I’m simply pointing out how terrible the game has become when you have teams continuously chuck up 3-pointers despite them missing so many. At no point in the game did the coaching staff change the game plan to stop shooting 3’s. Like, at what point do teams ask themselves “Okay, this shit ain’t working tonight”?
