What? Either the Heat are crazy for thinking that will happen, or the Lakers need to open up cap space for a blockbuster signing. That's a completely lopsided deal in favor of the Heat.
With Luka & Reaves already having defensive limitations it makes sense as to why they are trying to get rid of Dalton. You lose some size getting rid of Rui, but it explains the push they are making for Horford.
Maybe LA is waiting to see if they can grab Horford before they make the deal.
Does he rim run?

I assume they are thinking Lebron is leaving and Giannis is coming in next season
This trade seems to not have much legs. Miami has a full roster. Knecht and Rui don't make enough to match the incoming $28M that Wiggins makes.
I also don't see LeBron wanting to play PF all season.
I think I'd quicker see Miami pull a blockbuster to acquire LeBron + Bronny for some package based on Wiggins, Rozier, and firsts. It would likely involve another team.
But Mitchell, Herro, LeBron, Bam, and Ware instantly become a top 3 starting lineup in the East
Luka Lebron Wiggins Ayton is a pretty strong top 4. Really strong actually. Better top end than I think any team maybe.

Be fighting for a play in again with that kind of talent

If theyre all healthy no chance. Youre wildly off. Lakers right now are sitting at #4 spot in the title odds and thats without Wiggins. Theyre ahead of the wolves as well.
Luka without rim runners. Old man river. A bum. Wiggins was a bum as well before gs. A coach that didntvtruat in his bench. Not seeing it

On paper it's a lot of talent but I dont believe you can trust the motor of Wiggins or Ayton. Didnt Wiggins randomly take like four months off a couple years ago? And Ayton is known to sulk. They would also have terrible depth in this scenario.
I dont see this as a recipe for a championship contender.

You are forgetting the greatness of bronnie

Ayton is a rim runner.
Good call to trade Rui, got exposed against T-Wolves.
I don't know why Lebron is so adamant to trade Knecht, except that he's white. Knecht is going to be a really solid player.
