This man has been interviewing for a HC job for like 35 years while guys like Kidd and Fisher had HC positions waiting for them the day after they retired. :lol
Hope he finally gets his shot.
I hear ya.
Think I heard the other day he's been an assistant for like 15yrs and it's pretty shitty he's never been givin' a shot.
Fair or not, i honestly don't think he's gotten a shot to coach yet because he doesn't enunciate well.

Me too. There's prejudice when it comes to getting hired.

You HAD to be that guy
BTW OP
It's more like
Patrick Ewing to interrogate Kings on potential jeopardy of coaching career
Also he looks dumb. Just look at him, looks like a gorilla.

yeah. he used to say it's because there is bias against centers for coaching jobs.
he was an assistant for the magic for years.
they should make Rondo a player-coach tbh, he could bring that team chips with his on court ability and off court smarts.
he needs to bring in charles oakley to get up into cusins grill and get him to fall in line and buy in
He's put his time as an assistant. He's more credible than those other ex players that got hired with no coaching experience. Why someone would hire or spend millions on someone with no experience is beyond me. Some guys are happy just being assistants. For an organization like the kings that aren't going to win I'd consider Ewing.

There's no prejudice involved. The position is heavy on communication, and he does not speak clearly enough.
Damn dude's be an assistant for a while, only remember from is Magic coaching days, didn't realize was one before that
I reckon give him a shot, Kings have nothing to lose
They should hire Scottie Pippen. He'd make a great coach.
Hope he finally gets a shot
Even though I don't think he'll be a good coach, he's been on the bench so long that he at least deserves a chance.
Wish it wasn't in Sacramento where careers get ruined though. Such an embarrassing franchise.
It is really hard to predict who would be a great coach. Seems like the management culture, players personalities, and players skills all need to harmonize with the vision of the coach.
I always liked Patrick Ewing. They should give him a shot.
If he really wants to be a HC, Sacramento isn't the franchise.

I think it's better this way so others can see what he can do with a current struggling franchise. See what he do with Cousins who's under contract until the end of the 2018 season.
I think it will be more about player response...... than wins and losses his first season if they do hire him.

Here's a recent interview with Woj and I don't think he sounds that bad at all. I've def. heard much worse.....

it takes a baboon to coach a buffoon....makes sense.. :applause:
It'd be a good place for him to start if they trade Cousins
Then he'd get a bit more job security from narrative shift, and a young and willing team that'll play hard for him
I don't think there's something as "deserving to get his chance since he he's a assistant for a long time". I bet you that there are a lot of guys who are assistants for a long time too but we don't even know it cause they weren't HOFers.
Thibs was a assistant for 20 freaking years. Mike Budenholzer 16 years.
And I can tell you there are plenty of guys in the same situation, just waiting for a shot.

Assistant is not that bad anyways
The HC is always the fall guy, and known HCs usually have their assistant buddies with them so they get to tag along for the party
