Re: First All Star Returns In
dirks been the best forward in the west this year but he wont get voted in as a starter :( what a surprise.
-
Re: First All Star Returns In
Fan voting has been retarded for a while now. Let's change it to NBA coaches/ass coaches.
-
Re: First All Star Returns In
Luke Ridnour is ahead of derrick rose, joe johnson, and devin harris. what are people smoking?
-
Re: First All Star Returns In
Brandon Roy getting no love, and neither is Devin Harris.

Re: First All Star Returns In
Lol @ Yi but if it means anything I have a chinese buddy ACTUALLY FROM CHINA as in he used to watch CBA and NBA, and he said where he's from they think Yi is ok but nowhere near that good and shouldn't be an allstar, and he doesn't have enough experience and gets scared in big games, so it's not like all Chinese blindly vote for Yi regardless if he isnt the best, i think its like America here in america theres alot of dumb people in china theres alot of dumb people too, those are the ones who vote for yi also anyone notice Dalembert is second most votes for center, um if he gets in he'd be the worst all star ever way way worse than Okur and even Yi getting in
-
Re: First All Star Returns In
dalembert 2nd in voting?:wtf: gets kicked off of team canada but has a chance to end up as a nba all-star?:wtf: :wtf:
why is jermaine o'neal even on there? he hasn't been all-star material for years.
the voting is so dumb. granger is so far behind i'm depressed.
-
Re: First All Star Returns In
dwight didnt have this many votes last year on the first return. its always teh dunk contest winners who get voted the most the next year
-
Re: First All Star Returns In
until they take the vote away from fans the all-star starters will be a popularity contest instead of the players who really deserve it.players like tracy mcgrady will get votes while injured while a brandon roy gets no love
-
Re: First All Star Returns In
Lol. Voting for the All Star game is like voting for NBATV fan night. Bad idea
-
Re: First All Star Returns In
just so were clear no one is arguing brandon roy should actually be starting right???? I agree he should be higher but youd have to be high to think he should start.

Re: First All Star Returns In
fan voting is just for the starters of the all star game. i have no problem with the fans voting in who they want to see starting. but the rest of the teams gets picked out by the all star coach. they'll know who are deserving of the pick.

Re: First All Star Returns In
Looks like the dream of YI starting isn't going to come true, if only KG stayed on the Wolves..

Yi has 100 000 more than Bosh, a double the votes of Paul Pierce, and 7 times the votes of Danny Granger.
He is putting up 11points (at 43%) and 6 boards.
How many years are we from having an all China starting lineup consisting of a crippled Yao, 6th man Yi, and three Chinese D-Leaguers that somehow snuck on the Ballot.

dunk contest winners rarely even make the all-star game. dwight howard will be the first slam dunk camps since 2000 (vince carter) to make the all-star team in the following season and only the third since 1990 (dominque wilkens in 1990 made the game in 1991, kobe in 1997 made the game in 1998).
gerald green, nate robinson, josh smith, fred jones, j. richardson, desmond mason, brent barry, harold minor, cedric ceballos, and dee brown didn't even sniff all-star games at all in their careers (so far for the current players).

Re: First All Star Returns In
Yeah, they should change the voting. Make it 50% fans, 50% coaches or something. Damn, if it weren't for the Allen Iverson trade, Vince Carter would be second among East guards. Very funny that Yi is 3rd among East forwards though. Wouldn't be surprised if he somehow snuck in to 2nd and beat KG.

hold on Dee Brown won a dunk contest, as in little Dee Brown used to play for the Jazz and Illinois?
Also goddamn Iverson East guards should be Wade, Joe Johnson, Devin Harris and VC

dee brown in 1991 from the celtics, as in the guy who went to jacksonville university and lived next door to my cousins.

Re: First All Star Returns In
Nice! Yi!
Keep voting for him people. The Antoine Walker thing was great and would've been awesome but Yi is the closest thing to a scrub (I know he's solid and not scrub) that has a chance to get voted in.
It's time to screw with this voting system or force the NBA to rig it and hopefully get exposed.

And your starting lineup for the 2015 All Star Game is: Yue, Yo, Yi, Yah, Yao
Lol would be kinda funny, but I would have to shoot myself at the same time.

Re: First All Star Returns In
Typical. Every year the first returns come in and every year people whine about it. The All Star game is played for the fans and its only fitting that they get to choose the starters. Yi could start over KG or LeBron for all I care...he's not anywhere remotely close to them as a player but in terms of popularity, he's up there so people need to get over it!
-
Re: First All Star Returns In
Devin Harris has a ridiculously low amount of votes.
I hope Shaq makes the team. It'd be great to see him play in his home team's city for the ASG in what has been a great comeback season for him.

Yeah, I'm voting for Yi. I'd rather he make it than Garnett anyway, who hasn't been that impressive this year.

Horrible list, just Horrible. Brandon Roy has played better than Kobe this year. Also How in the world are some of those guys on the list?
