THIS PICTURE IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!! .... Shannon Brown's head is

I am not sure how to post a picture to the page. Somebody who knows should do it. But I ran across this picture of Shannon Brown and thought it was pretty incredible. And it looks like this picture was captured after he made the block, while he is on his way down. At 6'3" for his head to be this high (while on the way down).... what does that make his vertical??? I am guessing atleast 47 inches.

im guessing 48 inches like Shannon Brown says it is. Also on that block Shannon got higher than that, that pic was taken not when shannon was at the peak of the block but when he's coming down from it.

Also Shannon isn't fully extended, his head is down. If it were him just warmed up and jumped I bet he would have a bigger vert than Joe. Just my guess though.

Didn't Nate get a boost off of Dwight's shoulders on that dunk? From what I recall, he didn't clear Dwight clean.

The picture makes it look like he leaped right over him clean. But like I said, from I recall, that wasn't the case.

His vertical is at least 45 inches, but Nate Robinson's is 50

that pic was not the highest peak of that block. like serg's said it was him coming down. i remember the pic when he was at the peak. he was definitely above rim.

Wow.... thats hard to imagine. But if you look at the picture, I think you are right. It looks like he is captured after he has already blocked the shot and is on his way down.

That would definitely put Shannon at the 48 inches (or more) that he claimed he was.

Nate Rob gave himself a boost genius. Like people said that was not even Shannon at his peak and I believe he didn't even jump as high as he could...he was jogging most of the way and didn't put that much effort into his legs and still got up. Crazy...

can't wait for dunk off so he can eliminate the 20 attempts midget.

I don't think Nate got a boost off of dwight - atleast not to push himself up vertically. With that said, he probably would have killed himself if dwight didn't lean forward.

?! Where are you getting these numbers? Nate's vert was recorded at 43.5 at the NBA Draft combine, and Shannon Brown's got a verified 44.5 from the Laker's predraft camp.

I hate saying this, as I'm a huge fan of watching Shannon Brown do stuff like that, but I've seen that block 2,903 times and just now I happened to see what I believe to be Brown using his left hand/arm on Mario West's shoulders to give him that extra little moon boost.

Obviously I'm not stating this like a fact, but watching the play in real time, it looked like Brown rose up, then had a subtle second rise, like you see when guys hit someone in mid-air. On the replay angles you can see that arm planted on West. The level with which that arm played a role is debatable and regardless of boost or no boost it's still wayyy up there.
