What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Haven't played the newest one yet, but I imagine the Heat with LeBron/Wade would rank really high.
The best team is the Charlotte Hornets from NBA JAM TE
- Had two bruisers, you could really abuse the pushing aspect of the game and dominate the ball
- they could dunk and play defense
- if you needed some shooting, there was always mugsy bogues; who also doubled as a thief!

A close second would be the Washington Bullets from NBA JAM TE
- Calbert Cheaney could stroke it from the corner
- Chris Webber was a beast
- You can bring in Skiles and have perhaps the best shooting team in the game

Any better teams from the original NBA Jam (Shaq Magic were good, so were the Barkley Suns) or the later NBA Hangtime/Showtime/3D Games?

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
I liked NBA hangtime better and i always played with Muresan

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Stockton/Malone
Price/Daugherty
Porter/Drexler
Any 3pt/dunk combination

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Easily for me Reggie Miller/Dale Davis, a master shooting specialist combined with a raw dunker.

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
This is actually a good topic. Kind of different.
I had that NBA on NBC game for the Dreamcast, I always picked the Lakers with Shaq and Kobe (and on occasion Glen Rice). Since the last year I don't think I would pick the Lakers, such is the effect of the Kobe fanboys. (Actually I would still pick them. I also picked the Knicks a lot, with Ewing and Houston).

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Come on, Payton/Kemp/Schremph was unbeatable
This was actually discussed on www.ballchat.podbean.com Pretty entertaining discussion, I think they said the Hornets were the best too.

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Phoenix is pretty good.
Barkley/Majerle/KJ

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
I would think Seattle would have a pretty nasty group to play with; Kemp, Payton, Detlef... that's gotta be up there.
And why would that wizards team be any good, calbert cheney? that guy always sucked.

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Bucks had Vin Baker.

Nice thread, though I can't remember if I ever selected the Bullets.

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
I can't remember who was on the Clippers
I can't remember who was on the Clippers
Danny Manning, Ron Harper, and Chris Kaman.

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Pippen and Grant had such ridiculous defensive ratings on the arcade game it was just unfair.

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
I always thought Golden State was best with Charlotte coming in second. I couldn't find a screenshot but Golden State had Gugliotta and Sprewell who had great all around stats with fairly high 3pt shooting, dunking, power, blocking which are the main stats. The third player for Golden State was Seikaly as well which was pretty good. If MJ was in the game then Chicago would have been best with Pippen and MJ.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
Gugliotta was on the Wolves. Seikaly was on the Heat. GS had Mullin. Are you high right now?

At first I thought you were just being a douche with attitude but then I checked on GameFaqs and you are right.... for the Sega Genesis. For the Super Nintendo I am right: http://www.gamefaqs.com/snes/588512-nba-jam-tournament-edition/faqs/19427

Hornets. I don't think I ever lost a game.

That Mourning and LJ combo used to drive my friends crazy

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
In TE it was actually the Nets with Coleman/Anderson. Coleman had a "7" rating for both three point shooting and blocks. In Jam TE having an ability to block shots was vital since it was so easy to score, especially if you took it hole nearly every drive. Coleman would give you a few blocked dunks and could rebound well and do anything, even shoot the 3 effectively, offensively. I would prefer playing with the Bulls since the Bulls were and still are my favorite team, but if I was losing after halftime I would use a code to switch to the Nets for DC's defense and three point shooting if necessary; I never lost a game with the Nets...

Who was the third player on the Nets?

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
I think it was Armon Gilliam.

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Any combination of Kemp/Payton/Schrempf, although preferably Kemp and one of the other two.

Benny the Bull and Hugo the Hornet

Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Anyone play the new one yet?
-
Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers.
-
Re: What's the Greatest NBA Jam team in history
For TE the secret is it was the Nets. The key to the game was you needed blocks because shots were so easy and hence so high percentage. Coleman could block shots and he also was a 3 point threat with a 7 rating in both.
