Basically.
Not true at all.
:facepalm :facepalm
Why is is not true? The only player that was better than Wade in 2009, (strictly as an individual performer) was LeBron.
Wade is 06 FMVP as Kobe is 09 FMVP , that has to count for something.
If you were to go by season stats then it is completely the other way around.
Kobe in 06 35/5/4
Wade in 06 27/4/7
Kobe in 09 26/5/5
Wade in 09 30/5/7
I can prove this without even going in detail and just looking at stats
09 Kobe vs 09 Wade
Kobe
27/5/5 6FTA
Wade
30/7/5 10FTA
Wade has better stats but, the stats are SIMILAR on VERY DIFFERENT TEAMS WITH DIFFERENT ROLES. 3 Point differential.
06 Kobe vs 06 Wade
Kobe
35/5/5 10FTA
Wade
27/6/7 10FTA
Kobe has much better stats, and the difference is LARGE. 8 Point Differential

and how is your shit true Wade had a good regular season and was legendary in the playoffs while Kobe had a legendary season and a good playoffs but his team sucked in 2006. Kobe had a great regular season and was great in the playoffs while Wade had a legendary season but his team sucked in 2009.
2006 Wade
2009 Kobe
2006 Wade - Really close though.
Toss up, Wade was more versatile that season, but Kobe's scoring was unreal.

Uh, no. In 2006 Kobe just scored more points. He didn't have better all around numbers. He scored more points on a much higher volume. On avg, Kobe took nearly 10 more shots per game. And Wade was also on a much different team as well, so you must apply that circumstance to Wade, if you electing to do so for Bryant in 2009.

Yeah how about Wade was scoring 30 points on 49% and 22 shot attempts while Kobe was shooting 47% on 21 shot attempts he also averaged 8 assists if Kobe averaged 5 in 06. No Kobe does not have much better stats in 06 he took 8 more shots and scored 8 more points Kobe still has the scoring edge but Wade beats him everywhere else. You can think Kobe is better all four times but don't act like its not close.
....if the nba wasn't blind kobe would have won mvp over Nash that year....:facepalm
whats your point
'06 and '09 Kobe > Wade. Was a better shooter (from midrange, FT and 3PT range), played just as good man to man defense, and was by far more clutch. They're near similar rebounders while Wade is slightly a better play maker.
Wade has better shot selection, and playmaking, while Kobe was a more explosive scorer and was/is easily better in the clutch.

no body in the entire league thought that Wade was better than Kobe in 2006. Even Alnozo Mourning said that Kobe was better than Wade minutes after winning his first title.

Yup. Payton said the same.

09 Kobe>09 Wade
Wade didn't surpass Bryant until Kobe left his prime in 2010...

Furthermore, this article didn't quote entirely what Tex said which was:
"All-around, [Wade] he's probably the best guard in the league. Individually, he's not as good as Kobe, as far as quickness and skills, etc.
It dont matter for these Fanboys. They dont care about basketball all they care about is their **** size.
Funny thing is these fools think they know more about the game then the players do. :facepalm

This fool is gonna come up with ONE little article when Kobe was going threw problems. :facepalm
I can find 5 articles on Google right now saying Kobe is the best player since 2001 to 2009.
GTFO with ur dumb logic.
You can't say 09 Kobe is better than 09 Wade and then say 06 Kobe is also better than Wade.
It's contradictory.
I would take 2006 Kobe and 2009 Wade.
Both Wade and Kobe had great playoff runs in 2006 and 2009 but I think that's enough to elevate them over each other in those respective seasons.

It's contradictory if you rank players based off accolades and titles (i.e., Wade winning Finals MVP + ring in 2006 and vice versa in 2009 with Kobe). Off individual skill-sets though? I think it's fair to say Kobe is a more well-rounded player than Wade.
Maybe that's just me though?

Why not? Because ur a Wade fan so Wade has to be better then Kobe no matter what?
Kobe was EASILY the BEST player in 06. Its Amazing how these young kids forget things so quick these days. No one was even close to being good as Kobe in 06 amazing how these fools are delusional and cant tell who can Play ball and Who just like to rack up stats.
09 Kobe was slightly better then Wade due to his finger and Knee with age but pretty Obvious who was the best Guard at the time and LeBron Kobe neck and neck being the Best Player. But Once again LeBron fails to make it to the Final with having the Best record and Pointing fingers at his teammates for their failure.
2006 kobe was on a different level. Dude was amazing that year.

Agree with this.
Injures has really Hurt Kobe the past two years.

The main argument for 09 Kobe over 09 Wade is Kobe's playoff run which was definitely superior (not just the championship or accolades per say but the performance itself) but 06 Wade had a playoff run much superior to Kobe's as well who I thought was rather subpar against the Suns defense given what he had achieved in the season.
It doesn't add up to me.
If you base it on individual skill-set Kobe is better than Wade right now too and that's really not the case.

I didn't say Wade was better than Kobe in 2006. I said I would take Kobe in 2006 and Wade in 2009.
Did that post hurt your feelings?
06 Kobe could have very easily averaged 35 PPG against that Suns team, but the Lakers would have lost in 4-5 games. He completely changed his style and became more of a play-maker/passer to take advantage of the Suns interior D and it nearly worked. Lakers were a rebound away from winning that series. It wasn't a sub-par series at all.
I have them like this.
2006 Kobe>2006 Wade
2006 Kobe>2009 Wade
2009 Wade>2009 Kobe(though it's very close)
2009 Kobe>2006 Wade

Agreed and he came through with a big scoring game to nearly end it in game 6. Almost closed out the team with 50. He carried the team out of necessity and when he finally had another player playing like a borderline all-star in the second half(Odom), the Lakers were on pace for over 50 wins. But in the first half, Odom was his usual inconsistent self and after Kobe and Odom, the Lakers didn't have much. Smush Parker and Chris Mihm were pretty much it, and Mihm got injured and only played 13 games in the second half.
I find 06 Kobe very overrated. Maybe it is just me but I found Kobe's 08 and 09 season much more impressive than Kobe's 06 season. Sure Kobe scored a lot better in 06, but he did a lot of other things better in 08 and 09. I like versatility and the overall package in my players.
Dwyane Wade was the best player in the world after the 2005-2006 season.
I would have no problem with someone putting 09 Kobe over 06 Wade, but I do have a problem with someone putting 06 Kobe over 06 Wade.

how old are you?
how old are you?
Old enough to know there is more to the game than scoring. I watched Kobe in 2005-2006, sure it was amazing, but it is not like that was his best season ever.

Kobe was a lot better in 05-06 than he was in 09. The difference was the cast and role he had to play. No one put Wade even in the conversation with Kobe in '06. It is revisionist history to pretend they were on the same level. Wade had a great series in the finals and people pretend he was better than he was for the entire season. Wade was a limited player in '06.
this is even before we put in there defensive capabilities.
