Re: Top 10 4th quarter Scoring leaders so far (Per 12 mins aswell)
Fourth quarter scoring means nothing. If you team frequently blows out other teams (or your team frequently gets blown out) the numbers will skew.
Totally pointless stat.

Maybe not per 12 but 4th Quarter scoring matters alot.

Re: Top 10 4th quarter Scoring leaders so far (Per 12 mins aswell)
per 12 minutes? how come i never see you use per 36 or per 48 when using actual stats?

12 because 1 quarter is 12 mins and was interested only in what they do in 4th quarter.... that is what a player realistically can play in 1 quarter.. 12 mins... not 36 or 48
PER 36 or 48 calculations in the 4th wouldnt make any difference from PER 12 anyways... same guys would stay at the same spot because its both based on per minutes

Re: Top 10 4th quarter Scoring leaders so far (Per 12 mins aswell)
Rep for that link. I've been looking for players 4th Quarter stats for a long time.

Re: Top 10 4th quarter Scoring leaders so far (Per 12 mins aswell)
Melo
Also that's not the right list. You've just compared superstars.
I'm pretty sure Jennings is up there, maybe even second.

Re: Top 10 4th quarter Scoring leaders so far (Per 12 mins aswell)
this seems like a pretty narrow topic.
are you trying to say that melo is the best 4th quarter player?

Re: Top 10 4th quarter Scoring leaders so far (Per 12 mins aswell)
Derrick Rose
7.4 ppg (4.8 FGA)
1.4 rbg
2.5 apg
45% FG
53% 3PT
100% FT

Jennings 7.8 points per 4th on 49% shooting
Also, OP is rounding off the average points. Melo is actually 9.5 points in the 4th. If you're going to post stats, at least be accurate.

Re: Top 10 4th quarter Scoring leaders so far (Per 12 mins aswell)
What is it per possession, not per minute? Teams blow other teams out, and then there's others who get rotated and only play 6-7 minutes during the 4th.

Steph plays 6 minutes in the 4th to close it out, only plays full quarters in the 1-3.
