As per Stein. He should post article soon on ESPN.
Note: The way he was playing, if the Mavs didn't announce this, would anyone notice?

He can go anywhere else in the rest of the world.
Anybody knows Marbury just accomplished his championship dream...by leading Beijing Jinyu in CBA. This guy was so exited it feels like it was NBA.

There is the article. Just proves to me even more that Rick Carlisle is a terrible coach and should be fired. People think he's a good coach because Dirk went into "NBA LIVE" mode? Get real.

You are a complete idiot. Lamar Odom spends 99% of his time worrying about his terrible reality TV show and his fat ass wife rather than the job he is paid millions of dollars to do. He has had months to get over whatever bullshit he was crying about and still played awful despite being given heavy minutes. The guy is a head case, cry baby loser. Nobody can work with that.
lolodom?

Wait, he was doing reality TV when he was with the Lakers too...You sir are the bigger idiot. Moron.
I liked Odom with the Lakers, and when he went to the Mavs earlier this season and played terribly, I thought he'd be able to pull it together, but it looks like I was wrong. I can't feel sorry for someone who has given up trying.
So next year he's going to the Knicks? Yes? :D
Someone on this site predicted that Odom wouldn't improve as the season progressed further. Well done sir, well done. :lebronamazed:
He coming back to LA next season....Kobe will make sure of it.
So next year he's going to the Knicks? Yes? :D
No, he's going back to LA to sign with the Lakers or the Clippers. Duh.

Agree with this. I like Odom as well, and I understand why he was upset and I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a while, but seriously it's time to start moving on and playing through it. He still is getting paid millions to play a game.
this bitch...
Watch him win another 6th man of the year with the Lakers next season. Trolling the Mavs.
If the Lakers can sign Lamar Odom to a 2 year deal, and can get rid of Mike Brown as a coach, and sign a decent coach, the Lakers will be legit contenders next season!
Wow, Pathetic.
Lamar, the Lakers no longer wanted you. Get over it. This guy is a bigger head case than I ever imagined.
Edit: I just read that article. I'm willing to give Odom some sympathy over the family tragedies.
clippers could use him
I doubt Odom goes back to the Lakers. Jim Buss probably doesn't want him.
this bitch...
Odom pretty much had a mental breakdown. He went through some hard things both personally and professionally. Really do feel bad for him.
But he killed the Mavs this year. He filled a roster spot that could have been a guy like Kaman or any number of other quality players. Really sucks. The Mavs would have at least 5 more wins if we had gotten somebody else.
Now we might miss the playoffs as well. Sigh....
Thank goodness he never went to the Hornets. If he couldn't stand being in Dallas, lord knows what would have happened to him in New Orleans.
Just pathetic....he honestly doesn't deserve to be in the NBA with this kinda mentality. Its your fukking JOB, this was part of the deal when you decided to become a NBA player. Acting like a little bitch over a team who didn't even want you anymore.
I'm so glad I drafted him in one of my fantasy leagues.
I get that he's going through some shit, but damn just sit out the entire year or actually play.
There's nothing good or funny about this situation. I hated that he was traded from the Lakers, and I hated how people rode him for his poor performance in Dallas. He should have taken the season off to get himself together.
If he comes back to LA as a Clipper, I'll be rooting for them to win it all.
I don't think he failed because of the geographic location/his show/being away from LA.
Dude was way out of shape for the first few weeks. Naturally he couldn't perform at an NBA level, and then he just got the "yips" for the rest of the season.
It's like failing to perform in bed twice in a row with the same girl. It's in your head do much you're screwed. You're so worried about what she thinks and not failing again you have no chance.
This happened with Lamar. Dude understood he couldn't perform and it was over for him.
By far the most pathetic Dallas Maverick player I've seen.
And I call bullshit on the personal tragedies. The guy is just mentally weak, plenty of people go through relatives dying, mothers, fathers, brothers, cousins, and are still able to perform for their teammates and are loyal to their contract and team. This guy is a bum, and he's become just as bad as his fat wife and the rest of her repulsive family.
i'm assuming he will go back to LA

??? This guy has been a great coach everywhere he's gone.
Lamar Scrotom.
I really do feel bad for Odom. he was my favorite player while on the lakers and I hope he can get it together and come back strong next season. He is just a really fragile guy. I hope he comes back to the lakers even if he doesn't get along with management he has his teammates that he won 2 rings with here.

First of all his mother and grandmother died before he was 12 then in 05 I believe his newborn baby died of SIDS then that thing with his driver killing somebody and then getting traded away from the team he has spent most of his career with and won 2 rings with. He is mentally fragile and that is probably why he has been so inconsistent throughout his career but still I can't help but feel bad for him. I understand the hate from Mavs fans though since all you saw was him at his lowest
Top Criers in NBA history:
1. Lamar Odom
2. Chris Bosh
3. Glen "Big Baby" Davis
4. Michael Jordan (With all of his trophies)
5. Lebron James

Thing is though Mavs fans can directly contrast him with Rodrique Beaubois who had his father die in the middle of the season unexpectedly. When he came back he played some of his best ball of the year. Odom's dad gets a tooth ache he had to run from the team and wallow in misery for a week. The dude is a basketcase. Kudos to the Lakers front office for successfully trolling the Mavs with that piece of garbage. Hope Cuban can get the last laugh on him and offload him to Indiana for a pack of gum.

just another example of all these "Kobe's teammates" superstar player that are so much better then anyone else in the league ....

Unfortunately Odom is the kind that will break down and then drag everyone around down too.
This guy is going to have a hard time finding a deal in the off-season. Unless his relationship with Lakers management is rekindled, how is a team (especially non-playoff/small market) going to take a chance on him for something like the MLE?
Clippers may take a stab at him, but if all the other teams are offering something like 2 -3 mil a year, they'll be able to get him for cheap.
Wow, I wish I could get $8 million a year, say my hearts not into it, and get to go home and still get paid.
:biggums:
Lakers got a pick & 8mill...thanx Dallas!

He was already a really good player before he even came to the Lakers.
