These are the [B]net income salaries (after taxes)[/B] and [B]in euros[/B]. Salaries in the Spanish League are temporarily for this season gross income (before taxes), due to the economic crisis, so don't get confused by that if the numbers look different, as some sites list the gross amount wrongly as the net amount for Spanish ACB League players.

Keep in mind that these are the [B]base salaries[/B] of the players, and do not include the player's bonus salaries, like their apartments/houses, cars, etc., that are provided to them by their clubs.

He did have a really good season. But he was horrible the last 2 seasons, and 3 seasons ago, he only played well at the Euroleague Final Four, and was bad the rest of the season. So it makes sense why teams were afraid to sign him, as you said it was a risk.

I guess he got his confidence back after playing at EuroBasket over the summer, and doing pretty well.

But this season, he was good in Euroleague, good in Greek Cup, and good in the Greek League. However, he has been pretty awful so far in the Greek League Finals. But, he's probably just tired due to age. Hopefully, he's not burnt out before the 2012 Olympic qualifiers start.

Still, he's playing way better than Nick Calathes is, but that's not saying much.

Supposedly, Sarunas Jasikevicius got paid a base salary of €220,000 euros net income this season from Panathinaikos. So yeah, all things considered, that he had a good Greek Cup Final game and a good Euroleague semifinal game, that was pretty much a bargain.

By comparison, Nick Calathes is getting €900,000 euros net income this season from Panathinaikos, and he has pretty much sucked for most of the season. Funny thing is that supposedly, the Mavs want to sign Calathes. The NBA is so funny, the way they covet guys like Dragic, Jennings, Lawson, Rubio, and Calathes that pretty much sucked in the Euroleague.

Don't forget Vasilopoulos. He played zero games in Euroleague and only 5 games in Greek League, due to injuries.

As far as Sergio Rodriguez goes.......he started to earn his salary in the Spanish League playoffs.

Real is going to pay Draper 300 000

I was very suprised when I heard that he isnt getting more . But Real is probably going to sign some great player that will want alot of money so they need to save some money

Well, he isn't a great player, but supposedly Real is close to signing Rudy Fernandez, at 1.74 million euros net a season.

I dont think he will sign with any team but I could understand if he chooses to sign with Fener or Efes over OLY becouse that would be a challenge for him . Efes offered Obradovic 3 million

What aboute Diamantidis or Spanoulis ? PAO and OLY are cutting there budgets and lost their coaches so I think there is a chance for them to leave .

I seriously doubt it. They are cutting the budgets to 20 million euros. So having all the players will be no problem.

Neither team would have to cut a single player. PAO will have a bunch of money freed up because the new coach will make a lot less, and Batiste will make a lot less in a new contract.

So there is no reason why they would have any problem paying their players with such a budget. Especially considering that they can replace Sato for someone that costs a lot less if they want to.

Olympiacos will also have a big amount of money freed up with Ivkovic leaving and with Vasilopoulos' contract ending. Actually, Olympiacos will have more money to spend than they did last summer. It's 5.22 million euros in salary and taxes that are freed up with Ivkovic's and Vasilopoulos' contracts ending.

So no, neither player would leave due to budget issues. They are both bound by contract, so they won't be able to leave simply for the reason that the coach left.

No Tax in europe.
