If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
Lebron is, without question, one of the greatest to ever play, and one of the most dominate figures in sports ever. However, if he wins another ring, in 2013, where will he rank on the All-Time NBA list of legendary players?

Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?

Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
Back to back? Beating Howard, Kobe, Nash lakers/OKC?
Easily 10 kicking Hakeem to 11.

still only winning after joining 2 top stars.
he's not moving anywhere. top 15.

Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
He'll be #9 for me.
Back-to-back rings
1 or 2 Finals MVP, most likely 2(back-to-back is always a plus)
3 MVPs, maybe even a 4th
-
Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
nowhere...Personally I don't like ranking someone until their entire career is over :D....BUUUT at gun point? Well In no particular order my personal top 10 retired players are
**=Lebron Cant replace
*Lebron Could possibly replace
Bill Russell**
Jordan**
Kareem**
Magic**
Bird**
Wilt**
Oscar Robertson**
Shaq**
Moses* :confusedshrug:
Karl* :confusedshrug:

Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
Probably right after Bird, Magic, Wilt, Russell, Jordan, Kareem; fairly easily in the top 10. If he wins another 1-2 he'll have a case as good as any of them in my eyes for GOAT.
-
Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
11th. Hakeem has back to back rings and Finals MVPs, Wilt 2 rings, Duncan 4 rings 3 FMVPs, Kobe 5 rings 2 FMVPs, Shaq 4 rings 3 FMVPs, Bird 3 rings 2 FMVPs, Kareem 6 rings 2 FMVPs, Russell 8 rings, Magic 5 rings 3 FMVPs, MJ 6 rings 6 FMVPs.

Kobe fans absolutely SHOOK :pimp:

Lebron will have 2 rings, 2 FMVP, 3 or 4 MVP's and made the finals 4 times.
-
Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
Depends on how he performs, if he plays like 2011 bron, right there with hakeem or above him. Top 10 for sure :applause:
-
Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
top 12 for sure. everything else is conjecture and depends on how he gets there. if he becomes MVP again, top three in DPOY or is clearly the best player in the finals...that will only obviously help his case and rank him higher
-
Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
[QUOTE=AK47DR91]He'll be #9 for me.
Back-to-back rings
2 Finals MVP
3 MVPs, maybe even a 4th
another all-star, 1st all-nba and 1st all-defensive honor
more stats, totals, records, milestones
more POTMs
maybe a 3rd all-star mvp
another "best player in the world" year

No Hakeem, Duncan or Kobe but Big O, Moses and Malone? GTFO.
Your entire opinion is no longer valid. And LeBron can replace Shaq, Wilt or Bird in my opinion. Just stop it.

Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
[B]in the eyes of lebron fans = top 5
in the eyes of everyone else = top 10-11 ( would still be 50/50 on bumping hakeem... people will argue his 94 title is worth 5 titles with wade/bosh )

Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
If he wins another ring, that would be the moral equivalent of someone dropping an atomic bomb on ISH. Confusion and hysteria everywhere. Analysis everywhere, etc.
I'd actually put him ahead of Kobe if he wins another one and gets at least two more all star games under his belt (which I'm fairly sure will happen at this point)
-
Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
You guys gotta remember. Lebron "is" playing with Wade Bosh Allen

That's a retarded logic Mr. European. Kobe is now playing with Nash, Gasol, Howard. He played with the best Center in the 2000's.

Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
If that happens Lebron will have the same number of finals MVP that Kobe has, since Lebron>Kobe anyways, I'd put him top7. If he wins another ring and isn't Finals MVP then all hell breaks lose on ISH.
Truth be reality when he retires he's gonna be top2 for sure.

LMFAO what a tard you are, it's an opinion and nothing more deal with it...and I FORGOT to mention Hakeem...Replace moses with hakeem..And if you had any reading comprehension you would have noticed I said I DON'T RATE PEOPLE UNTIL THEY ARE RETIRED..IT WAS A LIST OF RETIRED PLAYERS which I said... Is Duncan retired Mr omnipresent ISH poster? Now your opinion is invalid because you obviously can't read
And yes, the BIG O

I'm not bumping Hakeem in my top 10 list I will be bumping Tim Duncan.
-
Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
No way of knowing. Raw ring count doesn't mean all that much, so it really depends on what kind of run he has, as well as how much help he receives.
I doubt Wade/Bosh will be as hurt as they were this season, so this ring won't be as meaningful as LeBron's first unless he puts up monster numbers (i.e. 09 playoffs).

and lol I know man, this forum shit is never to be taken that seriously.
But yeah, fundamental disagreement between us in our ranking of top 10, while I like your criteria involving a persons retirement, I don't deem it completely neccessary in ranking. You can pretty much get a general feel for a person's ranking usually toward the twilight of their careers (ala Duncan, Kobe).
And the Big O was incredible, can't argue but the lack of hardware makes it difficult for me to put him in that top 10, can't argue with top 12-15 though.
And say whatever you want about him, but by the time he retires (in accordance with your conditions), you can't leave out this man:

So Kobe's bigger number of rings means nothing to you? It is amazing how compared to other greats Kobe accomplishments get devalued.

I don't count Kobe's first three to be honest. He was the Pippen to Shaq. That, and Hakeem's back-to-backs>>>Kobe's back-to-back.

Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
depends again on wut else he wins....
fans of him will rate him too high
fans of kobe will rate him too low....
I'm usually not one to generalize but these boards have proven it....
to me as of right now kobe and him are interchangeable....take away the hype of both including the fans and just look at skills and games alone, it's easy to see they both have incredible games and skills yet have had major letdowns as well.....
-
Re: If Lebron Wins the Championship in 2013, Where does he Rank All-Time?
10-12 as he is 12-15 now.
