How do you find those? Thanks a lot!
Old fashioned ad inserts always make me laugh.

Re: Who here would like to see the 1973 NBA all-stars?
Youtube username "Bghogh" - you disliked the upload. So to save you the trouble from having to watch all my similar games and videos I blocked you from my youtube channel. My apologies for exposing you to such unlikable content

Half the people in that stadium = dead.

Your vintage NBA footage is appreciated as always, will rep when I get the chance.

Thanks Cavsftw.
How did you know that person disliked your video? :oldlol:

Can the uploader learn who presses like/dislike?
I've seen that game, and it wasn't among the best ASG's, but nice upload, anyway. Too bad that play with that crazy Archibald pass didn't finish with a basket.

Re: Who here would like to see the 1973 NBA all-stars?
Thanks Cavsftw.
How did you know that person disliked your video? :oldlol:
Because immediately after I posted the link on ISH (the only place that has the link on this unlisted video) I received a dislike and a nasty comment simultaneously. The person who made the comment (Bghogh) deleted it but it was too late they had already given themselves away as the one who also disliked the video. There were only 4 views on the video at the time. Now the ass is banned from my channel. :lol
There are several people who's sole purpose in life seems to be to dislike the uploads on my channel as soon as I've uploaded them - I've eliminated one of them :lol

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to CavaliersFTW again.:biggums:
:facepalm
Please, for the love of Christ, stop posting so many good posts, so I can spread the wealth and then rep you.

Re: Who here would like to see the 1973 NBA all-stars?
I have a question for the people who like to talk about the old school players as if they came from a "weak era". Based on such wisdom from ISH's mostly young fanbase, I started simultaneously watching the 1998 NBA all-star game right now to cross reference and see the (what should be obvious) progressional differences in skill and athleticism all the players should be displaying. You'd think it would stand out right in front of your face based on how many people are so convinced "you can't compare players from different eras".

To me it looks like you could mix and match all the players from the 98 game and the 73 game and they'd all play just fine together - on more or less equal ground. Sure some rules of the game changed and so did some trends creating a slightly different floor dynamic between these two all-star games but the players themselves from both all-star games look more or less equally skilled, athletic, and elite - it's hard to pickup any distinguishable differences in cumulative skill or athleticism despite a quarter of a century difference. Anyone who thinks I'm crazy feel free to interject and point out what I'm missing.

Nate Archibald with the  passes!

Re: Who here would like to see the 1973 NBA all-stars?
What happened to Charlie Scott?
Played great in the ABA, was a premier scorer in the NBA for his first years, and then sort of fizzled off.

The only real difference I see is style, Rules and a few players who watch to much porn in the 90s compared to the 70s...I'd really like to see West VS Jordan and Shaq VS Wilt....The latter being the most interesting....Biggest difference the internet? :confusedshrug:

The wrong team maybe, or drugs, not sure. He was a college and street ball legend.
It seems after he joined Boston, he was put behind Hondo, Jo Jo White (at the swing spots) and Cowens. So he went from the star in Phoenix with a declining Connie Hawkins to playing behind some hall of famers and Finals MVP in Jo Jo White.

Re: Who here would like to see the 1973 NBA all-stars?
It just struck me - Rick Barry is not on the All Star team this year. He was already back in the NBA by 1972-1973, according to basketball-reference.com. His teammate Nate Thurmond's there, but the charismatic, soi disant "basketball gypsy" wasn't.

And yet according to basketball reference, he played in all 82 games that season.

Re: Who here would like to see the 1973 NBA all-stars?
Gotta say...i jokingly hate on jlauber a lot cuz for some reason he doesn't seem to understand how the internet works but between him and you I've learned a ridiculous amount about old school basketball. The more I watch it I feel that my original assertions; the peak players could cut it in today's era..it's just that the overall talent level and competition was much weaker as a whole is very valid. Ergo, stats being inflated quite a bit. Still the best of the best from those era's are such a pleasure to watch.
This is such a great, clear good copy..thanks for posting it up! Can't wait to watch it in it's entirety this weekend. I'm glad the commentating is there too...that makes a ton of difference.

valid, or invalid? it doesn't look valid to me - not based on the documentaries and game footage I have. The worst teams and talent back then look no worse than the worst teams and talent now.

Re: Who here would like to see the 1973 NBA all-stars?
This is an entertaining game to watch before this 2013 NBA season comes into full swing - great chance to see some old school ballers in action! I recommend more fans watch this game if they haven't already :D

Re: Who here would like to see the 1973 NBA all-stars?
Like Hondo, Cowens is so underrated all-time.
Watching Maravich getting burned on defense makes me lol.
-
Re: Who here would like to see the 1973 NBA all-stars?
Will watch... Tiny, Maravich, Hondo, Wilt, West, Hawkins and so on, in action, clearly a must watch.
