LOL. And this comes right after a tweet (which someone made a thread about on here) where he accepted blame for today's loss.
So...I guess he's not really taking responsibility afterall?
Kobe is an all-time great; top 10-15 player all-time. This guy needs to retire though...asap. :oldlol:
LOL. This dude Kobe is a character.
Maybe they should actually get a bench?
Also fire dantoni. And trade dwight:lol
Maybe they should actually get a bench?

Laker fans in August "You dont need a bench when you got 4 HOFers!!!!"
Kobe is an all-time great; top 10-15 player all-time. This guy needs to retire though...asap. :oldlol:
Yeah he's having such an awful year, really not playing up to expectations :oldlol:
LMAO how much help does this clown need? Is he not playing with 3 hall of fame teammates? Its amazing how Kobe fans are still spitting out excuses for this guy. There is no excuse at all for this team to be playing like thatl

Uh... you can accept blame for a single game while still asking for changes to the roster. Lol. You know, as in they should have still beat the raptors with this roster so this loss is on him, but if they want to make the playoffs the team needs to make changes?
Kobe is an all-time great; top 10-15 player all-time. This guy needs to retire though...asap. :oldlol:
You need to stop being a ****ing ****** ASAP. Kobe's the 7th greatest player of all-time. Gtfo with this top 15 bruceblitz type bullshit.
30-5-5 on 47FG/58TS/52EFG
Why would be retire
OP add the whole quote next time.
"This team needs me on both ends of the floor," said Bryant, who has taken a larger defensive role in the past week. "So unless they're going to do something roster-wise, I have to continue to push through it."
Does Bryant believe the Lakers' front office needs to make a move?
"No," he said. "Listen, if this is what we're rolling with, I can't make excuses. I have to go out there and do my job."

Exactly :oldlol:
Yeah he's having such an awful year, really not playing up to expectations :oldlol:
It's not about that. What else can the Laker front office do? They're not miracle workers.
problem is kobe thinks his job is to "will" his team to a win ... this translates into the kobe chuck show.
I believe that LA is in for a tough decision in the offseason.
They realistically wanted to get out of paying Bynum huge money while getting a young vet star. Dwight's only destinations are Nets and ATL.
LA has to make decision with Kobe or choose DWight and build around him.
LA also has good pieces that just cant be moved easily.
LMAO ... MORE HELP? Dios mio, Kobe. That's almost as soft as Bron going to join his main Eastern Conference superstar rival.
This guy just wants the APPEARANCE of wanting to win. He wants to win, but only on his terms, which means trying to put up 30 ppg instead of making the right basketball decisions in order to win.

what's the point of winning if it's not on your terms or your way?
what's the point of winning if it's not on your terms or your way?
If you're about winning collectively with your teammates, and not on selfish agendas ... that's exactly the point. If you're a legit competitor and not just a glory hound, you do whatever it takes to win with the framework of the team and team chemistry.
If that means sacrificing your pursuit of 30 ppg, increasing your efficiency by taking smart shots and getting others involved, while playing CONSISTENT stellar defense ... that's what you do.
The goal is to lead "his team" to wins. If he shoulders the responsibility of calling the Lakers his team, and he gets the credit when they win, he needs to look in the mirror when they are losing.
Or in this case, a stacked roster with a sub .500 record heading mid way into the season.

Nash- At this stage would be a great 6th man and 2nd unit guard. Nash works as a starter if you have great athletic roamer in the Marion/Tony Allen/Bradley mode. LA doesn't have that.
Dwight- Does not work well with Pau. and neither will come off the bench.
They are a mess chemistry wise.
Kobe is an all-time great; top 10-15 player all-time. :
Kobe is top 5-10 all-time depending on who you ask and what their criteria is. But anything below 10 and you're kidding yourself. Kareem, Jordan, Bird, Magic, Shaq, Russell, Hakeem, Duncan and Wilt are the only players that can be reasonably ranked in front of him. No one else has a case.
Hahahahahhaaj how much help does Kobe need??????? Dude always crying and bitching when things get tough.....:applause:

Wonder whether he'd prefer to win with a secondary/lesser role or get the all-time scoring record which would mean putting up big points (and probably losing). The former means less points but more games and the latter means more games but less points per game. Either way seems like more points and winning aren't going hand in hand.

that's key. he could have just said no....but then he said IF this is what we're gonna go with...leaving it open that the team could/should make a change.

And Kobe's pursuit of shooting 25 shots a game to score 30 ppg on 47% while not putting major effort consistently on defense, or trying to create for lesser role players to give them a boost of confidence IS good for team chemistry?
Riiight. Not Kobe's fault at all.
Dude is subtely crying for MORE help, yet not fully utilizing the talent he already has.

I have Kobe at #10. Relax.

he still said he doesn't think they need to make a roster change, he's not asking for more help. And if he is, how do we know it's not to SIGN more players like Delonte West instead of trade players?
Kobes been playing great this year and Lakers have the 6th best offence this is not Kobes fault

if you care at all about your legacy, you will realize you have to win with the paradigm of doing it your way. whether your way is shooting a lot, getting other people involved, or being a defensive stout worth is individualistic but the most important part is still you are imposing your will on the game and it's your singular identity that is bringing your team to victory.
all great players are glory hounds.
the team concept is just a facade. A contrived artifice aimed at covering up for the weakest among us and delineate sport from the cold harsh realities of life. that it is always you against the whole world.
that's why I gotta respect players like AI and Kobe who are free radicals that refuse to be institionalized within the team framework.

even with a more balanced offense/defense from kobe, They have no chemistry. They lose to teams they should not lose to more often than allowed. Kobe feels like he needs to be a hero and thats a sign he doesn't trust this team.

The Lakers issues are not on offense really outside of FT shooting and turnovers. It's on the defensive side. And he's the primary scorer. It's Nash's job to have the ball in his hands the most creating for guys. That was why everyone was excited for Nash to come back.
And what's with this accepted "truth" that Kobe just cares about the scoring title? Yeah back in 2001 he cared about that stuff but he's been there and done that. He sat out the last game of last season when he could have shot his way to the scoring title because he wanted to rest for the playoffs.
Even earlier in the season when he was only taking 17-18 shots a game and being very efficient shooting the ball the Lakers were still getting their asses kicked. So obviously that's not the problem. The constants have been the team's bad defense, turnovers and lack of a reliable bench.

Not going to lie, Dwight has been a HUGE disappointment. Injuries or not, dude hasn't made the impact I originally expected AND, conversely, has annoyed the shit outta me w/ his lack of accountability.
Do y'all think he will resign? Do you even care? :oldlol:
'I got to continue to push through it'
Didn't he use that same motto in Colorado a few years back?

I really don't. I don't want him to be the guy that takes over for Kobe once Mamba retires. Dwight would tarnish the brand of the lakers with his buffoonery.
He has a shaq type of ego with a tyson chandler type of skillset. very obnoxious. If he would just grab the boards, get tip ins, block shots, and pass the ball, I would be a lot happier. Instead we gotta watch dis ni99a bobble passes while setting up his post moves. :facepalm
