KD also shot this many less shots while playing the whole season while Melo missed around 15 games or so.

Real question is how many more phantom free throw calls did KD get? Cause I know Melo don't get the same treatment even though Melo plays more physical.

and Durant shot 750 free throws to Melo's 512. nearly a 250 ft difference... that can certainly account for the extra shots on Melo's part, since when you get FTs, they wipe away the shot attempt.

If Melo got FT's for every breath someone takes while he shoots the ball, he'd average 31 easily, and on higher TS% since he loses FGA but gains FTM.

- He gets hacked HARD at least once a game when he goes up in the paint, no call

- He gets hacked whenever he follows his own rebound and makes the shot

That's one and-1 and two FT's per game easily. So he'd really be sitting at a nice, legit and very efficient 30+ ppg season

One thing you obviously cant compare between them is style. Melo has some dope looking jumper and nice powerful moves, while this KD guy falls down after every dunk, and looks like skeleton.

In my opinion, the scoring title should go to the total points scored. I think it used to be like that before the merger, or even earlier.

Let's say Player A averaged 30 points per game in 70 games (2,100 total points).
Player B averaged 29.5 in 82 games (2,419 total points). Player B scored 319 more points, plus he played every single game.

Why punish the guy who actually played all 82 games?
