so what if Lebron won a few more titles
Playing that NBA 2k14 made me think just a little about what if Lebron won say another 3 titles with the Miami Heat and wins another 2-3titles with the Heat or Cavs (Kyrie, Bennett, Bynum). He would be maybe 5x FMVP, 6-7x MVP, 7-8x Champion. Would be crazy wouldn't it? finally in 20+ years we get to see someone else who can contend with MJ.

Re: so what if Lebron won a few more titles
Lebron is a great player like Kobe. Kobe had his chances to win and beat MJ but now its Lebrons turn.

Stick with 2K14, because what you describe has little to no possibility in happening in reality, are we seriously talking about 7-8 championships???

Re: so what if Lebron won a few more titles
2 championships, 2 FMVP (which are basically guaranteed with the championships, regardless if he's the best player), and 2 more MVPs. That's what it takes for him to enter the conversation for the most accomplished player ever with Kareem, Russell, and Jordan.
The GOAT? It's more than just winning, imo. You have to transcend the game.

Re: so what if Lebron won a few more titles
MJ did this
http://www.michaeljordansworld.com/stats_finals.htm
During stronger competition and during an era where the league wasn't soft as hell.
If anyone thinks LeBron even remotely has a chance at MJ after playing like complete shit in 2 finals, and having the biggest chokejob ever, they are retarded. He didn't even play that good in the Spurs series, it was just a relatively easy opponent for that stacked Heat squad.

Lebron hasn't won any tities.

:lol truuuuu
Brons best finals series isn't even as good as MJ's average statline for all 6 of his Finals series.
Put MJ on Miami vs the Spurs and it wouldn't take Ray Allen hitting a 3 to save them from losing in 6...
Put MJ on Miami vs the Mavs and he doesn't choke more than any star player ever has.
This MJ/LeBron comparison is so forced when there are players better than LeBron but worse than MJ. Compare LeBron to Pippen or Magic, not the damn GOAT who is 5x better than him at basketball

Re: so what if Lebron won a few more titles
What if MJ didn't retire in '94 and '95 ...
2x more chips
2x Fmvps
2x more Scoring Titles
8x rangz
8x FMVP
7x MVP
What if MJ didn't get hosed out of MVPs in '89, '90, '93, '97?
11x MVP
What if MJ didn't retire in '99, 2000, 2001 and played until 2003 still?
All-Time leading scorer, comfortably. Fukking Drake era LeBron kids. Just stop. Dude isn't the GOAT.

Lol @ it not ending anytime soon with nearly all of that roster on the decline.
You won a title in a shortened season with the refs ensuring MIA wouldn't lose to IND or BOS and then you had the most injury riddled season ever and still got taken to 7 games by a bad Pacers squad and nearly lost to an old as **** and banged up spurs team.
Not even remotely close to the Bulls during their peak facing actual competition with the refs not babying the shit out of MJ and Pippen like they do with Wade/LeFlop

Shortened regular season means nothing. The playoffs were still 7 game series. Nice try. If anything it means the players were more fresh for the playoffs.
MJ was the most babied star ever. The league changed entire rules for his benefit like shortening the 3 line. Anytime you looked at him it was a foul.
The refs were against Miami against Indy and SA. Against SA Miami had the lowest amount of FTs of any team in nba history in a 7 game series. SA had the significant FT advantage.
And no, it's just beginning. More titles are on the way. It's dark days for you.

MJ the most babied star ever?
Are you retarded? Guess who has the most total FTA in a playoff run after Shaq? The next two highest are Wade and LeBron winning their first rings.
Wade and LeBron have both had series with 15+ FTA per game.
Bro what are you talking about man, you shove LeBron and get EJECTED. You elbow MJ right in the face when he's driving to the lane and they didn't even call that a foul sometimes back then

When the league changes entire rules for your benefit that is coddling.
Wade and Lebron both are good at drawing FTs, but their latest title had pretty few FTs.
Like I said, Miami had the fewest FTs for any team in a 7 game series in NBA history against the Spurs. They didn't get many FTs against Indy either.

Hey, shit-for-brains, MJ had 229 FT's in the '89 playoffs (5 less than Lebron and 21 less than Wade), while playing 6 games LESS than both Lebron and Wade.
MJ also appears twice in the top 10 FTA's (playoffs). The only guard to be there, in the top 10, twice. He got OVER 200 FTA's TWICE in the playoffs. Lebron - 1 and Wade - 0.
Wade and LeBron have both had series with 15+ FTA per game.
Jordan had 4 playoff runs, in which he averaged over 10 FT's/G. Lebron - 1 and Wade - 0.
@OP, Lebron has about 0.1% chance of being the GOAT. Stupid thread.

Re: so what if Lebron won a few more titles
lmao, why are lebron fans always asking about "What ifs" ? It's the second thread I've seen today with it. PLease let your boy get to kobe's level of 5 rings first before even dreaming of smelling MJ's socks.
and btw, even if he gets all those rings, he still gets no respect. Look at how cheap, easy it was for his 1st two rings. Had the most stacked team and played in the weak east, and most of the superstars from the other teams injured. Lebron still playing like crap and getting bailed out by Ray Allen.
It doesn't matter how much ring he wins. He's not respected and will not get onto the level of MJ/Kobe.

LeBron already past Kobe. 2 FMVPs and 4 MVPs. Would we really care if LeBron added 2 sidekick rings and a role player ring for a grand total of 5?

Re: so what if Lebron won a few more titles
The 2011 choke in the finals is ultimately going to really hurt Lebron in the all time rankings when talking about the top 8 of all time.
He needs to get to 4 rings as the man to get much higher.
To challenge MJ...he's going to need 6 rings as the man and at least 2 more MVP's...and great longevity.
Again...the idea that prime MJ can't beat the 11 Mavs with the kind of team Lebron had is laughable. That hurts Lebron and increases what he needs to do quite a bit in my opinion to get into that conversation.
