*waits for MavsSuperFan to come in with some mini diatribe on the 'true' nature of homosexuality*
"You're a disgrace."
"No, I'm not."
:lol
In 2014 we have people who still think that shit's a choice. :lol
Wow, just watched the whole video.
The way it escalated was very very sad to me. I feel terrible watching that and the unfortunate part is, many young people searching for love and acceptance have had to endure that from their own family and parents who they thought loved them.
I'm sure the feelings from parents of homosexual chlldren can be complex (even though these ppl seem pretty simple minded) and often clashing but you could feel their hatred and darkness through this video without ever seeing their faces. It's very unfortunate that some parents can't just love their children unconditionally as is told by mostly all parents from birth until one realizes the contradictory nature of mankind.
Dude sounds exactly like Marty Huggins.
Crazy that his mom attacked him for no reason. Bible thumpers can be the meanest people behind closed doors, then get on their knees and pray for forgiveness because of their f*cked up ways. Lunatics I tell you...

I think it's shallow to say that it's a choice. People are born everyday with defects that don't let them fit into the "normal" aspect of society. Who's to say this young man isn't born with a defect in the brain to where he's physically attracted to men versus women? He can't choose that.
Whatever the case you can't choose who you want to be attracted to. You're going to get an erection or you're not. You're going to get sexually aroused by someone or you're not.
In the end, the parents are wrong. What good comes from this? You outcast your son because of who he's attracted to? What a great support system that is (sarcasm). You got parents out there that stand by their children even when they commit murder, but this young man simply has a chemical reaction in his body that makes him attracted to the same sex and the parents want nothing to do with that. It's quite sad.
In 2014 we have people who still think that shit's a choice. :lol
I'm sure there are people out there that choose to do this, for whatever damn reason. But if you're really homosexual and you're legitimately only attracted to te same sex sexually, that's not a damn choice. You can't reprogram your mind to think that way.
In 2014 we have people who still think that shit's a choice. :lol
Religion teaches that. I don't recall ever making a choice between boys or girls on who I liked better, I was always attracted to girls. Being gay isn't a choice just like being straight isn't either. It's just who you are. Poor guy with those ignorant parents.
there is no way that being gay is a choice. "oh i want to be ostracized by my community, disowned by my parents, etc, i am going to choose to be gay."
even if being gay was a choice, that still doesnt give people the right to tell someone else to stop being gay.

This
One minute they're at church listening to the Word of God on how we should love our neighbor and that we are all children of God and the next they're spewing out words like f*ggots, ni*gers, sp*cs, k*kes...:facepalm
"You can talk about all the scientific stuff you want to.. Im gonna go by the word of God."
:facepalm fkin dumb b!tch
This nigga's dad called him a queer tho, that's fcked up
This kid is stupid. How is putting a roof over your head, providing for you and making sure your safe not raising you?
Dat fag logic.
I kinda feel sorry for the parents. I dont agree with their religious beliefs, but the thought of your son sucking *** out of another mans penis and letting another man ram his cock up his asshole, filling it with semen must be devastating as a parent.
religious people are fcking idiots. Thank God that most Christians today are pretty secular and the dumbass hicks are stuck in poor communities

You should read this link*. Just a small part:
An area of particularly strong public interest is the genetic basis of homosexuality. Evidence from twin studies does in fact support the conclusion that heritable factors play a role in male homosexuality. However, the likelihood that the identical twin of a homosexual male will also be gay is about 20% (compared with 2-4 percent of males in the general population), indicating that sexual orientation is genetically influenced but not hardwired by DNA, and that whatever genes are involved represent predispositions, not predeterminations.
Science still can't anwser it precisely. It's not just a choice, but it's also not just genetic. There are genetic factors, but there's also social influence (for instance, abused boys tend to be gay in a higher % than the rest of the male population*2). If it was just genetic, identical twins would always be both gay or at least much closer to 100% (closer and not 100%, because some would just lie that they are straight) than just 20%.
But I agree with you that the "origin" of homossexuality does not matter. Gay people do exist and they should be respected and have equal rights as straight people.

yeah, but we should note that the fact that it does not appear to be genetic does not mean it is a choice. you mention social influence as a factor, people dont have a choice about whether or not they will be abused as a child.

Bingo. In a lot of instances, it does become a choice but certainly not a conscious one. The notion that anyone can consciously choose to be straight or gay is ridiculous. However, a lot of gay people I have met over the years have had significant, significant issues with one parent or the other.
Of course, not every person that has significant issues with a parent turns out gay. There are a multitude of factors.
Also... these parents don't know the word of God. The way they act and think is the result of social influence and certainly not a result of acting based off of the word of God. They're the disgrace.

You are right about that.
But there are studies about other social influences other than abuse.

You guys need to realise that attraction is not genetic. Nothing has ever been found genetically that proves people are born gay. Nothing at all. Its a myth.
Attraction occurs during your life and can change. Some guys grow up liking fat girls, some like skinny girls, some like tall girls, small girls, black girls, white girls etc. Some as we have seen on ISH like trannies, some like girls that use strap ons, and some like guys.
Humans are humans. There is no gay vs not gay, its like a spectrum with varying degrees of attraction at different points in the spectrum.
You are right about that.

i havent looked at the research but it seems like homosexuality is something that develops fairly early. nobody is straight until they are 50 years old and then suddenly become gay right? so it seems that something or some combination of things from early life is responsible.
people dont have a choice about their childhood.

It happens. There are guys who never knew they were gay until they were married for 10 years with kids.

yeah, but i dont think those are actually people who started straight and then became gay at a late age. those people started out gay or at least confused from the start, but repressed their gayness their entire life until they finally couldnt take it anymore
I don't condone homosexuality, but those parents are sick in the head.
I'd love to beat his dad and mom down.

There are millions of research papers and articles to state that genetic do play a factor in being gay, but it seems environment is the biggest factor. You can see this with identical twins. Since they basically identical genetically, they both should be gay if it was genetic. Turns to find out, that's not the case. You have some twins with one is gay and the other is not.
And the genetics that we find on males that may influence them is found on the X chromosome. It is kind'a jokily said that what is a gay gene in a man is a superstraight gene in a woman. The reason why they say this is because the same genes that are found in women may increase the fertility, lol. I believe we don't know where is the female gay gene.
I guess look at the gay gene as height. Genes influence height, but nature takes a factor too. It depends on the nutrition that you eat and stuff that depends on your height. Gay gene may have less of a influence than height in terms of biology speaking, but it plays a role.
Here are some articles and stuff:
How our genes could make us gay or straight:

How Gay Genes May Be Good for Women

Of course you still gott'a do your own research. Some articles are bullshit or tell half truths. Peer reviews man!
Poor kid. The best thing to do with negative people is to drop them out of your life even if it's your parents. There is no reason for him to be around these people. He needs to take control of his life. He can do whatever he wants.

Nah you idiot. Plenty of religious families regardless of color feel the same way against homosexuality.
That was intense.
So who thinks being gay is a choice? Are gays born to talk that way to?
i hate when parents say "i put a roof on your head and food on the table..."
isn't that the most basic ****ing point of being a parent? if u didn't want to do that then don't have a ****ing kid.

A lot of shit does. Millions of people are parents. Just because you did what you were expected to do doesn't mean you get a ****ing reward.
