You know how quick that little f*cker would be?
Be like playing ball against a pitbull. Even Bron couldn't beat him.
Idk, dude plays some good defense

Sometimes the stars align and weird things can happen in one-on-one. But for most on this site, myself included, we're taking that loss 99 times out of 100.
Sidenote, he's not exactly scrawny either, so when plowking mentioned it'd be like playing a pitbull, he probably wasn't too far off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6iTtGdvLls
NBA range, elite speed, strong upper body, elite fundamentals. He'd kind of be a mess to play against. Imagine having to step out 25 feet away from the hoop to guard a guy like that, with all that space on the floor between yourself and the basket for him to operate.
Nobody's beating an NBA pro in a game of 1 on 1. I've got half a foot on him in height and he'd still make me look hopeless
Dude averaged double figures in the NBA for a few seasons.
So, yeah, I would kick his ass.

Learned the flop game from da bess. Stern had already ruined the league by 2012 :facepalm
No one here would score a point on him.
No one on here has half a chance in hell. Who is quick enough to guard him on the perimeter? Even if you are a complete stud athlete, he's going to kill you.
I'm a pretty strong dude and I can usually get the better of my defender when we make contact. I'm 6'0 175. Barea is like 5'7" 185. That's built.
1 on 1 is different from organized 5 on 5. A lot of times, 1 on 1 comes down to backing the other guy down in the paint and shooting a high pct shot. Someone who has about a foot on him and has pretty good skills can possibly beat him. There is only so much you can do on D if you are the much shorter man being backed down. But other than that, he destroys everyone else.
Lol I'd dunk on that midget

You're a ****in toothpick.

:biggums:
Just because he's more effective than anyone here in 5 on 5 team basketball, doesn't mean he would dominate everyone in 1 on 1.
Barea is listed at 6'0 which means he's about 5'10. Anyone here that's 6'4 or taller with a decent jumper and decent coordination should be able to compete with him. It's not a full court, 5 on 5 game. It's 1 on 1. They're completely different things.

Exactly. And in 1 on 1, a significant height difference means the taller person is going to get the rebound on just about every missed shot.

Yeah, a few days ago I went hard with this guy for a few games 1 on 1 and he had like 4 inches in reach on me. Backed me down time and time again and I was pretty much at his mercy down low. Length and height is a huge factor 1 on 1. There is no double you have to worry about. Just back down the smaller guy and shoot over him.
How many guys here can actually back him down though, let alone make a shot? Dude's built like a bull.
I'll whoop his midget ass
You'll never truly appreciate how good NBA players are until you see them play against non-NBA players with 100% effort...
That said, no, no one on this board could beat him 1 on 1 unless he simply decided to be nice and let someone win.

He's kicking ass in FIBA
Defenses are designed to stop this dude in international competition yet he scores anyway. Unless you're a borderline nba player he probably beats you everytime.

Serious question - have you ever seen JJ Barea defend a bigger player, besides that Bron flop gif?
I'm not saying the best people here wont even score on him. But let's be real. I'm putting $100 on Barea against anyone on this forum easy. I'd do it 100/100 times, and most nights I'd be walking away with 10 grand.
How many guys here can actually back him down though, let alone make a shot? Dude's built like a bull.
If you have a significant height advantage, just back him down as much as you can then turn around and shoot a high arching shot. Either it goes in or youre probably gonna get the rebound. And how is he gonna score on you? Just sag off him and block anything he goes to the basket with. If he tries to shoot over a much taller defender hes bound to miss sometimes, and you can snag those rebounds too.
I understand some people here might not be very athletic so its not hard for them to imagine a smaller person beating them. But anyone with above average athleticism would have to have a hard time imagining someone 7 inches shorter than them beating them in basketball. I know I do.

In international competition he can pass the ball off if hes about to get rejected.
In one on one you cant do that.
He literally could just run past you for free layups or open threes. This guy scores agianst 7 footers with 36 inch verticals. austin rivers who is terrible in the nba averaged like 35 points in highschool.

It wouldn't be that easy to back him down honestly. He might not be big, but I think he'd have enough strength to make it difficult for the average ISH'er to just 'back him down'. And yeah, you can sag off of him on D, but leave him too open and you're giving practice jumpers to an NBA level player. He's not going to give you many to rebound

That's true, and maybe I'm overestimating the amount of tall, competent ballers on ISH. I'm assuming there have to be some dudes here that actually competed at a decent level of college or semi pro and would just overwhelm jj with size. I mean I know this site has actual pro's that lurk, and I'm sure there are former college players as well, but maybe not among active posters right now :confusedshrug:
I would shit on him.

That's no flop, your weak bitch made ass would go flying out of the ****ing arena if LeBron pushed you away like that.

Former college players who hasn't played anything competitive in years isn't gonna cut it.
Of course not. The dude averaged like 35,10, and 5 in college as a midget and is putting up like 38, 10, and 8 now in FIBA ball.
If he were black you wouldn't even be posing this idiotic question.

Can anyone on this site beat the worst pro boxer in a boxing match?

Not surprising. Borderline NBA players dominate the trash from the rest of the world.

I don't think you're allowed for offenice rebounds on most 1vs1 games. Once you get the shot off, blocked or not, it goes the other way unless you make the basket.
Also, one has to be fit enough to back down barea every ****ing time w/o getting gassed. Not only is he built like a rock, he's got quick hands to steal the ball or make you pick up the dribble. He's also got a lifetime of experience defending bigger players trying to post him up.
What happens if you pick up the dribble 20 feet from the basket? Miss a turnaround fadeaway.
Then 5 seconds after that he's making you dance from the 3pt line....
A 2 meter strong guy should be able to just back him down and shoot bunnies all day.
Can anyone on this site beat the worst pro boxer in a boxing match?
im pretty sure i could..... a low ranked pro making his debut.
Nope. I could score on him some, some other posters could too, but he would score on any of the posters on like 90% + possesions.
