Rajon Rondo
Isaiah Thomas

Shit, could you imagine Rondo gettin Klay Thompson open looks? Klay would average like 35+.
Re: worst player replacement for finals curry with which warriors win
Defenders can leave Rondo open from outside and stay on Klay
Defenders obviously can't leave Steph open

Teams would play him closer if bum ass rondo was there instead of steph
Re: worst player replacement for finals curry with which warriors win
Curry wasn't the only problem in the Finals.
Re: worst player replacement for finals curry with which warriors win
2 of their 3 wins, they didn't need Curry.
Re: worst player replacement for finals curry with which warriors win
Bro they win this year with Wade playing like he did in the playoffs in place of this finals Curry.
You would have a guard putting the pressure on the big men and attacking the rim. Not Curry getting his layups swatted to the 3rd row and chucking 3s. Golden State already had plenty of great 3 point shooters.
Curry was abysmal.
Kyrie, Lillard, John Wall, Wade, Harden all win that finals versus Curry with the same roster.

If rondo still has anything left: playoff rondo > playoff curry
Re: worst player replacement for finals curry with which warriors win
The amount of defensive attention Curry gets can only be replaced by another player who gets similar kinds of defensive attention.
So MJ, Kobe, Bird. End of the list

Any player can lock up any player for one possession while knowing that there's zero chance that player will drive to the basket. There was only one outcome in Love's eyes - Curry will shoot the 3, and when you have the privilege of that, you only have to stay close, because you know he won't drive past you. Now in regular circumstances, he'd be two feet back from him in case he decides to drive, yet still close enough to contest the shot if he decides to shoot it. Knowing what your opponent will do is the biggest advantage in that situation and anybody could've guarded that.
I've seen Shaq push Iverson back from driving past him in 01 finals, and that was even a bigger size/speed difference.

Kyle "decompress" Lowry.
Jeff Teague
Kemba Walker

Curry did all he could to create separation and it was not enough. Leave it at that.
