Mark Cuban offers Donald Trump $10 million for policy interview
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban offered Donald Trump an unusual deal on Friday: $10 million in exchange for a four-hour interview.
In a series of tweets, Cuban initially said Trump could have the money go to the charity of his choice. But he subsequently suggested that the GOP nominee, who says he’s worth more than $10 billion, could actually use the money.
“I’ll add an option. If you need it, I’ll write you the check and you can keep the money rather than give it to charity,” he jabbed.
Cuban also listed a few terms for the interview, including that it would only be about Trump’s policy proposals and that no one besides a broadcast crew would join them in the room.
“I know Mark. And the problem with Mark, he’s not smart enough to understand what we’re doing. He’s really not smart enough, in my opinion, to understand what’s going on,” Trump said. “I’ve known him for a long time. He tweets me all the time. He sends me so many tweets.”
Cuban and Trump have had an on-again, off-again relationship over the years. They used to trash each other on Twitter, but Cuban warmed to Trump at the start of the campaign and even said he would consider being the GOP nominee’s vice president. Trump held a rally last summer in the Mavericks’ arena.
But things have clearly soured since then.
Re: Mark Cuban offers Donald Trump $10 million for policy interview
man, Cuban is really desperate about getting some attention from Trump
the word on the street is that he begged him to make him a VP in May, but Trump wouldn't even meet with him
Cuban has been butthurt ever since

:oldlol:
Cool. What's Trump got to gain? He's already surging in the polls.
He should offer that money to Clinton in exchange for the emails she was ordered to turn over but never did.
Figured Democrats would want him to donate that money to the homeless anyway?.

Re: Mark Cuban offers Donald Trump $10 million for policy interview
How could Trump turn down a cool $10mill to charity? To talk about what he plans to do no less, should be easy enough.
You'd have to be one evil individual to turn that down...

Probably because Trump is trying to squeeze him for 20 million to charity.
A guy like Cuban only giving 10?:biggums:

Re: Mark Cuban offers Donald Trump $10 million for policy interview
The founder of LinkedIn also offered a $5 million donation to charity if the Donald would release his tax returns.
$15 million to help find cures, feed babies, etc
And all the Donald has to do is do what HRC and every other candidate has done for 4+ decades and have a little sit down to flesh out his policies.

Why not do that just to do it?
U no care about charity?

I'm like 99% sure Cuban and the LinkedIn dude give millions to charity as it is. But this donation is specifically earmarked for efforts to get the man who wants to be leader of the Free World to show the skeletons in his closet and provide details on his nonsense.
Seems like a fair trade off to me. I mean, everything the Donald does business-wise is on the up and up and he has actual fleshed out policies, yes? :confusedshrug:

Re: Mark Cuban offers Donald Trump $10 million for policy interview
Why don't Cuban and Linkedin just donate the money irregardless of if Trump shows up? Do they actually care about helping children, or are they just trying to virtue signal for the sheep?

He already did it for free.
He gave a great Economic policy speech.
How stupid is someone to pay $10 million to have it explained to them. I will gladly explain free of charge.

I'd for once like a presidential candidate to be honest enough to say "we're not going to do anything. the economy is a matter for the people, not the government. we're going to get the hell out of the way".

So they'd rather sit on that money to give to Trump but won't donate it to charity otherwise?
That's not very charitable.
Did you see where the city of NY donated $120m to the DNC in 2012? That's a lot of meals for the homeless.

I'm still searching for Clinton's economic policy.
She has ran a policy free platform for too long now. The people want to know. Plus, she's insulting the intelligence of her voters.
She told them a frog did it and she expects them vote for her no matter what.

No, the bimbo dicker himself, Bill Clinton, made it law to force banks to give mortgages to people with bad credit because.... discrimination or something. Shockingly, this ended up crashing the housing market.

Re: Mark Cuban offers Donald Trump $10 million for policy interview
Cuban is naively doing Trump a solid kicking up more media attention for Trump like this. What, Trump is supposed to humor some politically completely irrelevant, rich asshole because he offers a few million? Nobody with an ounce of sense thinks it's a good idea for Trump to take him up on that at this stage of the campaign, but it is more free press and makes Trump look like a strong character.
He's out there campaigning and trying to win an election, he doesn't have time to be a good little boy to Cuban, who really seems to be simply jealous at this point.
That's without mentioning that a huge part of Trump's platform is that he's not corrupt and can't be bought. Which would make it at least twice as idiotic to take Cuban up on this offer.

trump is surging in the polls and you guys are trying to spring traps on the Donald.
He shouldn't and he doesn't have to. Just like the ads on TV asking you to donate money to starving kids, ITS YOUR CHOICE.

Cuban has a point , but no nominee ever point blank told their 100% outline what they would do ... that's called hanging yourself.

The point is that Trump refuse to share information that every other presidential candidate have released for 30+ years
How this flew over your head is impressive
Especially the LinkedIn offer. Why would Trump say no to that?
Look like a strong character? More like it looks like he has something to hide

Trump obviously releases the information he wants to release on his own accord. You can argue it isn't all you want it to be and that's fair. You can argue it's incomplete. He definitely has stuff to hide (and Hillary has 100x as much to hide. They are both crooks and virtually every top politician in US history is a crook).
Trump changing how Trump wants to run his election because some billionaires are offering him a pittance to do so is still the wrong move in every way.

Trump is obviously concealing something major. It is sad because I thought we had a shot for awhile. This is Trump's death blow.
