i know a guy who shacked up with a girl that had 2 kids from another man. they made one themselves and neither person works for a living

in canada its actually a blessing to have kids



1. paid maternity leave of up to 562$ per week

2. welfare 494$ per month

3. baby bonus 533$ per month

4. child support 200-300$ per month

5. food banks 100-200$ worth of groceries per month

6. saving 800$ per month on low income housing for single moms


basically the woman my friend was with was raking in 3,393$ per month in benefits ( not counting maternity leave ) for sitting on her ass watching cartoons every morning

my friend got welfare too so he had 500$ per month to cover half of the 300$ rent

However, most of these incentives only provide the benefits for the poor.

they get overwhelmed thinking they won't be able to take care of a kid cause they don't have a good enough job or can't get ahead... but if they're in school they'll get all those benefits so they can afford a sitter while they're in class and even be able to move out of mom and dads house quite easly

There's a number of factors and it's not clear cut. For example paid maternity leave isn't guaranteed in most states and most employers don't give it.
