That leaves just Derrick Favors and Dante Exum to play with, and my sense is that the Jazz would only part ways with those two if something came up that was too good to pass up. Then there
Phoenix still has no proven point guard; Tyler Johnson could be available if he opts into his contract for next season, sources say.
What Allen showed that was surprising was a legit ability to pass the ball and create for teammates. Allen is a better passer than you think and, if he can improve, could become a legitimate backup point guard in the league. Considering his decent size and athleticism that would be a great outcome for the Grizzlies to find a rotation guy in their trade with Utah.
seriously? We talking about the same guy that either shot or turned it over every time he touched it? Wasn't much different with the Stars either. I saw 6th man if anything
The other thing that Allen does better than expected is rebound the ball. Allen had a knack for the ball and there were a few games where he would fight for boards and get them.
With the Stars he hit 3's and scored and not much else which was disappointing for a 1st rounder that was 23

Hopefully Niang becomes the starter cuz Favors needs to go!
Got their 4! Short. Must be long? A high scoring small pg and a shooting guard from Yale as well. Still have Goss too. Hopefully get to see them all soon in the summer league

a modern 4!
Wright-Foreman averaged 27.1 points as a senior while shooting 42% from 3-point range. He's a dynamic scorer who finished second nationally in scoring average. He worked out for Utah on May 26.

another shooter!
"What we really like is his defensive ability, even though he was a main-scoring role at Yale," Zanik said. "Open shot-making, being able to contest and use his length, I think he can be a defender at first & open shot-maker as he develops."

sounds more like a Jazzman
While draftees taken in the 50s don't stick in the NBA all that often, all three selections play at a position of need for the Jazz after they traded Kyle Korver and Jae Crowder. That being the case, it stands to reason they'll get a legitimate shot to compete for roster spots.
maybe. I wouldn't expect much. Be like the draft with Bolomboy on the team. Paige on a two way and Wallace on just a Stars contract.
Justin Wright-Foreman averaged 27.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 42.5% from three his senior year. Tony Jones is right when he says the kid can flat out score. While Jarrell Brantley who the Jazz selected at 53 has a real shot at squeezing out some minutes in Utah
Conley is headed to a Jazz team that ran more pick-and-rolls last season than all but a handful of teams, which should be a perfect fit for his skill set. This past season, he averaged 0.96 points per possession as a pick-and-roll ball-handler, putting him in the 81st percentile leaguewide. Conversely, Rubio averaged only 0.78 points per possession, which ranked in the 39th percentile.

DN: Last season, you took a step forward offensively with career-highs in points and rebounds, but what are your goals going into this year? What do you want to continue to do? Rudy Gobert: Keep getting better, keep getting stronger and keep adding things to my game that can help me and most importantly help the team to take another step. Obviously, we know that it’s going to be a few changes to the team, but I try to control as much as I can control as much as I can. I know that I can be an even better than I was last year. – via Deseret News
DN: Transitioning into our next topic, obviously a big deal was made for Mike Conley that won’t become official until July 6th but how does it feel to bring in a player of his caliber? Obviously, you’re losing some special teammates in the process, but do you feel that bringing in a guy like that can help you reach a championship level? Rudy Gobert: We’re definitely losing some guys that I really love to play with and be around in Ricky (Rubio), Kyle (Korver) — well, we didn’t lose Ricky yet, but he wants a starting job as he should, so it’s tough, it’s a tough part of the business but I think we wouldn’t be where we are without those guys. Now, we have another guy that comes in, I think a guy that can really help us take the next step, which is to me, play for a championship. – via Deseret News
DN: After competing against Mike and watching him over the years, what are your thoughts on him? Rudy Gobert: I always loved his competitiveness. He’s a guy that plays to win. He’s a guy that’s selfless, but still very aggressive but he’s a winner to me. I’ve had a chance to talk with him a little bit and I think he really wants to win, to help us and we want to help him at the same time. It’s going to be a great partnership. – via Deseret News
Ricky Rubio will be up for grabs as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career this summer. The Spanish guard acknowledged that big names like Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson will, in a way, shape the fate of other free agents.
Alex Kennedy: Willie Reed will play Summer League with the Utah Jazz, per source. Reed is a 3-year NBA vet who averaged 20.1 PPG, 11.3 RPG and 1.8 BPG in 21 games last season with Utah
Eric Woodyard: Isaiah Cousins will play Summer League with the Utah Jazz.
