Maybe. I didn't see the wilt game so I can't really say. Mj scoring 63 or any of his 50 plus point games in the playoffs is more impressive than Kobe's 81 though no?

The end of that game was pretty clownish :lol
With six minutes remaining, the Knicks began intentionally fouling any Warrior except Chamberlain, keeping the ball out of the center's hands.[21][50][51] New York also began moving the ball slowly and using as much of the shot clock as possible to leave fewer opportunities for Chamberlain to score.[52] Effectively, they played the opposite of what a normal club would do if they faced a deficit, willingly giving up many easy points instead of making attempts to rally back.[46] Meschery said the Warriors lobbed the ball in from the sideline across the floor directly to Chamberlain, who would use his size and strength to get the ball.[25][49] Chamberlain was the only Warrior to make a field goal in almost four minutes before Meschery made a jump shot at 4:15.[53] Philadelphia began quickly fouling New York with around four minutes left, reciprocating the intentional foul strategy.[54] Warriors coach Frank McGuire at one point pulled out his entire starting five, save Chamberlain, and replaced them with bench players.[note 3] The intention was to foul the Knicks, get the ball back after free throws and give Chamberlain the ball. Thus each team spent the last minutes fouling each other
I would say Kobe's was more impressive because of the type of shots he was hitting. AND the KEY IS the Lakers needed those points to win the game. It wasn't like Kobe was doing that in a blowout. Around that time period, I started considering Mamba the most skilled player ever. Scoring skillset, passing, defense, and handles as a package! To top it off, he was a freak athlete! MJ and Kobe BY FAR put all those elements together than anybody else! MJ was the better player, BUT Kobe was a bit more skilled!

I guess the reg. season only counts when Kobe does something good.

This man jerked off in a washroom sink after a girl rejected his advances and walked out. It's psychologically impossible to respect this loser.

Greatest since Jordan. An honor to have watched him dominate a whole decade.

I miss Kobe. After watching Westbrook for so many years, I miss the fluidity and smoothness that was Bean.

Re: A SG putting up 81 is better than a 60s center putting up 100 in a clown show
I disagree. The 19 point gap notwithstanding, Toronto was the worst defense in the league then, Jalen Rose was not a good defender and he was the main man tasked with guarding Kobe - the defense failed to collapse on Kobe several times when he drove rendering wide open lanes, and he was spoonfed free throws then. Kobe shot very well from the field, but I think I've seen more impressive scoring games in my own lifetime.
