I loved field day, played multiple sports, honestly the best day of school each year. Zero school work, all play. Of course i looked forward to the basketball match everytime.

My school had field day as well, red and blue teams.
My team lost in 1st grade and 9th grade, won every other year.
If your peak in gradeschool wasn't dunking on classmates on the 8ft rims in the parking lot, or kissing the cutest girl in your class by the bike racks, or KO'ing that loudmouth dirtbag kid who deserved it, I feel sorry for you.
On the first day of school in 3rd grade, our math teacher handed out our math workbooks. These books had a series of lessons to last the whole year, with a several-page answer section in the back. The teacher made us rip out the answers and throw them away so we
Field Day at the end of the year.
Anyone remember the Bone series? That was my shit as a kid and honestly it still holds up to this day, still read them from time to time
