Not true, the focus has been on the corruption and their deals in China and Ukraine, listen to Bannon and Rudy in their interviews as well, they only mention the depravity and horrible pictures as a secondary thing. Though the primary focus is the corruption, Rudy has said that there are terrible pictures on there and turned the laptop over to Delaware police, who in turn passed it on to the FBI who has it again - which is the real news here, the discovery that the FBI have had this laptop since December.

My personal theory, IF the repair guy story is true, is that Hunter took the laptop for repair on purpose while drunk and/or high, as a way to turn himself in. It was done shortly after he stepped down from Burisma and just before Joe made the announcement to run. From the text messages released so far, he seems awfully depressed.

Agreed, the timing is impeccable at the end of the election. I don't know if I'd count it as any particular timing in term of investigations though, Trump just survived an impeachment at the end of last year.
Also, technically it's not the allegations that are coming now, but the proof toward them. People have been talking and pointing out the Burisma stuff for a long time, same about Hunter deal in China about $1.5 billion for his hedge fund which has been public for a while.

Just three things though,

1) Apparently there's a subpoena showing the FBI as having this laptop since the end of last year.

2) Neither Biden himself or no one from his campaign wants to go on record an say the emails are fake, in fact some one from his campaign said "I don't think anyone is questioning the authenticity of the emails" on TV.
