I'm sure I'm forgetting some players, but here's what mine would be.
Starters
Derek Harper
Desmond Bane
Mikal Bridges
Toni Kukoc
Arvydas Sabonis
Bench
Marcus Smart
Michael Cooper
OG Anunoby
Lamar Odom
Deandre Ayton

I'd probably start Odom over Kukoc for defense but that team looks like a contender for sure.
Great thread. I'm thinking something like:
Starters
PG - Rod Strickland
SG - Byron Scott
SF - Cedric Maxwell
PF - Marcus Camby
C - Deandre Ayton
Bench
SG - Michael Cooper
PG - Mike Bibby
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Happy Hairston
C - Serge Ibaka

Solid list. I'd put CJ McCollum over Michael Cooper though
I like this thread too. Going with only current players...
Starters:
Jamal Murray
Austin Reaves
Terry Rozier
Deandre Ayton
Evan Mobley
Bench:
Desmond Bane
Jordan Poole
Colin Sexton
Stephen Adams
Ivica Zubac
It's pretty tough to come up with a championship team out of people that have never been an all star. I was going to pick Brook Lopez, but even he made the all star team once. Hard to see the team above winning a championship, but with great chemistry, it's possible. They certainly have depth.

Why is Bane on the bench but Reaves and Rozier are starting? He’s way better than both.
Why is Bane on the bench but Reaves and Rozier are starting? He’s way better than both.
Well, obviously Reeves plays Lebron. No idea about Rozier though.
Why is Bane on the bench but Reaves and Rozier are starting? He’s way better than both.
Reaves gives perimeter defense, and Rozier gives some scoring punch. I don't disagree that Bane is better, and I'd be fine swapping him out for Rozier as a starter. I wouldn't say he's way better though.
PG: Mike Bibby| Derek Harper
SG: Petrovic | Cooper
SF: Mikal Bridges | Richard Jefferson
PF: Lamar Odom | Sam Perkins
C: Sabonis | Ayton
Something like that.
Going with only current players...
Of course you are, we all know you don't know much about the league's history.
PG: Mike Conley | Derek Harper

Conley was an all star. Drazen had to be as well. These teams are struggling to get to the playoffs. They aren't winning anything. Where's Robert Horry?
Conley was an all star. Drazen had to be as well. These teams are struggling to get to the playoffs. They aren't winning anything. Where's Robert Horry?
Yea, forgot he made it a couple of years ago. Petrovic was never an All-star. Probably would have made one, but died pretty young.
I'll go with Mike Bibby to replace Conley. Always loved his clutch play. While the Kings were shitting themselves in that game 7 vs the Lakers in 2002, Bibby was the only player on Sacramento hitting big shots in crunch time.
Conley was an all star. Drazen had to be as well. These teams are struggling to get to the playoffs. They aren't winning anything. Where's Robert Horry?
Drazen wasn't. Very good pick by 87_Lakers. Has an allnba selection but no allstar. Huh, I wonder how many times that's happened in league history.
Of course you are, we all know you don't know much about the league's history.
Says the "historian" who didn't know about the Bulls/Pistons rivalry.
Nice try, Dudley.
As a matter of fact, I think it's more interesting using current players than mixing and matching players from different eras. But keep doing your thing. :applause:
Drazen wasn't. Very good pick by 87_Lakers. Has an allnba selection but no allstar. Huh, I wonder how many times that's happened in league history.
Dead eye shooter. Reggie Miller always called him the greatest shooter he ever saw until Curry came along.
I recommend watching "Once Brothers" documentary made by ESPN years back. It covers Divac & Petrovic's relationship. Good stuff.

I guess the "basketball historian" didn't realize that Sabonis made the all star team this year.

at least a couple of times
I guess the "basketball historian" didn't realize that Sabonis made the all star team this year.
I'm assuming he meant Arvydas.
I guess the "basketball historian" didn't realize that Sabonis made the all star team this year.
Wow, you are truly a moron. I'm assuming you never heard of Arvydas Sabonis? The dude who beat David Robinson in the '88 Olympics?
We all know why you went with current players. :lol

We all know why you went with current players. :lol
Sure you did. That's why you didn't put a first name. :lol
Hey, Tom Brady was never an NBA all star. Why didn't you put him on your team?
Reaves gives perimeter defense, and Rozier gives some scoring punch. I don't disagree that Bane is better, and I'd be fine swapping him out for Rozier as a starter. I wouldn't say he's way better though.
Bane is a good perimeter defender himself and is a better scorer than both. Far more efficient with it than Rozier and just better in general than Reaves.
Not using current players..
G - Andre Miller | Damon Stoudemire
G - Jason Richardson | Jason Terry
F - Ron Harper | Doug Christie
F - PJ Brown | Hedo Turkoglu
C - Arvydas Sabonis | Marcus Camby

Holy shit you are actually retarded :oldlol: We all know you don't know basketball but this is the 46th icing on the cake
SG - Drazen Petrovic, JJ Reddick
PG - Mike Bibby, Alex Caruso
PF - Scottie Barnes, Toni Kukoc
SF - Len Bias, Bruce Bowen
C - Mel Daniels, Steven Adams
no such team exist.
Trying to use players not yet mentioned:
PG: Tyreke Evans
SG: Larry Hughes
SF: Hedo Turkoglu (or Tayshaun Prince since Hedo was mentioned)
PF: Thaddeus Young
C: Andrew Bogut
Bench:
Jeremy Lin
Leonardo Barbosa
TJ Warren
Tyrus Thomas
Samuel Dalembert
Lou Williams
TJ McConnell
Manute Bol
I guess the "basketball historian" didn't realize that Sabonis made the all star team this year.
his daddy. old fat guy who could pass. supposedly he wasn't always old and fat when he played overseas.
Impossible imo and you have to use guys who played at all star lvl but got snubbed. team will be really good but not winning a title when title teams often have a mvp an all nba guy and 2 other really good starters or just have a super team straight up.
Pretty easy in modern era to create one but wont be realistic salary cap wise either.
Brunson
Bane
Bridges
Gordon
Mobley
Brogdon
White
OG
Grant
Ayton
his daddy. old fat guy who could pass. supposedly he wasn't always old and fat when he played overseas.
he was always great though

I sure make you Bronie fluffers mad.
You should have let your boy Dudley know that Sabonis made the all star team this year.
:lebronamazed:
I myself would probably go:
PG: Mike Bibby
SG: Drazen Petrovic
SF: Tayshaun Prince
PF: Lamar Odom
C: Arvydas Sabonis
Bench:
Lou Williams
Desmond Bane
Michael Cooper
Toni Kukoc
Andrew Bogut
Some good teams posted so far! I think a lot of these teams could contend.
SG - Drazen Petrovic, JJ Reddick

Why do you always list SG first then go to PG right after? You did this in a few all-time drafts as well. :lol

Wait, it doesn't go 2,1,4,3,5? :lol
