Do you think you would fall into the groupie trap if you were in the NBA?

We all see the nightmare stories. Guys paying 300K a month in child support to one kid or having 9-10 and having to play forever because of it. Guys getting exposed online for dick size or no skills or whatever the vengeful groupie wants out there.

I can feel a little sympathy for young guys who suddenly have 10 or 20 beautiful women throwing themselves at them in every city they land in. That said? I don’t think I’d get myself into too much trouble. Not even in my prime. I would be so suspicious of all of them just wanting to get paid somehow. You would almost have to find the cutest single girl you know used to **** with you for real just to believe they like you for you. I can’t be all “You tryna get that pipe?” Jr Smithing it all over the country.


How do you think you play it?

Married to high school sweetheart with no verified drama or getting called out like Javale McGee flying hoes out to **** and not even getting them any Chipotle when you get some for yourself?

But you just know some kid getting popular right now in March madness has Groupies trying to Google him and see where they play next. I feel bad for the kid. He’s gonna be paying 190K a month by 2025.

Also, I recently saw Patrick Beverley say he avoids women around game days because it takes his leg strength. Are there any real studies you know about on that subject? You imagine Wilts vertical drops from 43 to 39 if he had his usual platter of groupies at 3pm and the game is at 7?

That kind of lifestyle has never appealed to me, nor do those kind of women. I have an Instagram I never use and whenever I check in I’m bombarded with ‘suggested’ accounts of just the most generic looking women in tight yoga pants or swimsuits. And you might say I’d think differently if I were making 10 million a year. Perhaps but I know enough womanizing man-whores who make like 50k/year to know it’s as much a mindset as it is your wallet. my libido is just not on the level of some these guys and for that I’m actually grateful.

These athletes and rappers go for the same types of women which is why they get caught up. It's a cycle that they keep up with. Break the cycle and stop going for the IG and club girls.
Start picking up women at church conferences, seminars or married women with families. Someone that will be scared to even say they associate with you and they'll never put you on blast.

I do try to think of it that way but I think even at that age I’d be afraid of the horror stories.


Remember Chris Bosh had a baby and claimed his moms house where’s he’s from in Dallas as his residence to get lower payments? Texas has a max. He paid 2600 a month. She sued him because he was playing in Florida at the time which does a straight percentage so she’d get like 250-300K a month.

I can’t see reading about that and even wanting to risk it. I might well get less ***** in the league than I actually got at 20. I’d be terrified.

But of course, that’s easy to say until two of the most beautiful women you have ever seen paid off security to let them stay on the team floor at the four seasons and they’re standing in front of your room, half naked, begging for it at 1am when you’re half drunk on the road in Miami as a 20 year old “kid”.

I was a college football athlete and I didn't partake in that. I had plenty of chances but at the time I was dating my late ex-girlfriend. Stayed faithful even when I could have gotten away with not doing so. It wasn't because I was virtuous or anything however, it was because I didn't want to accidentally impregnate a woman that didn't care about me. That worried me the most.
