But anyone with half a brain saw that coming. Dude made a career of sending CP3, Curry, GP, Billups, Kidd, Nash, Westbrook, Harden, Dame, and AI home packing. And sweeping LeBron to win FMVP of course.

I'd take Manu over him quite easily.
Literally ever player you mentioned in the OP was better than Tony Parker.
I find it funny he won a finals mvp first over the likes of kobe. :lol
this the man that let goran dragic go for 26pts in 17 minutes during the playoffs? goran dragic sent him home during that playoffs series. that's your legend?
I'd take Manu over him quite easily.
We’ll yah, you would take him to have 8 turnovers in G6 and throw away Timmy’s 6/6 championship record.

And Terry Cummings outplayed Jordan in a playoff series to send him home. That’s your legend? Haha

And yet he beat all of them in the playoffs pretty easily

Horace Grant beat Michael Jordan in the playoffs, I guess he's better.

How did Parker do the last 2 games of that series?
19 points on 6/23
10 points on 3/12

Also had 8 points on 3/11 in Game 7 in '05

you guys would have been toast had david stern not protected your dumbasses. 07 was the suns chip, everyone knows it.
Tony Parker was a Zach Lavine level player for his time. Will make a couple all stars but you won't win if he's your main star player.

LeBron's 2nd scoring option was this guy.

Under 2 mins left in G6, Spurs down 3.
Offense stalls, Green dishes to Parker late in the shot clock…
Hits step back 3 over LeBron to tie the game.
Miami next sequence…Parker steal and finish at the rim to put Spurs up 2.
Another steal, dish ahead to Ginobili to go up 4, all but sealing the championship.
So, slightly better than the Jordan sequence at the end of G6 in 98.
And that doesn’t even mention his game winner in G1 to put them in that position or his dominant FMVP series overall (had they won in G6).

Has Zach Lavine ever outplayed LeBron in a playoff series? I don’t think so.
2007 Finals:
Parker: 25/5 on 57%
James: 22/7 on 36%
Hahaha Zach Lavine lol
It’s crazy how some random great players get certain people acting like this wanting to make them elites. Tony. Rudy Gobert obviously. Some of the longtime posters might remember a guy who was totally obsessed with both Gary Payton and Kevin Johnson being in the top 30 or something all time. When did this bullshit start?
Think had the internet been what it is today we would have record of some weirdo acting like James worthy was personally defeating everyone the showtime Lakers eliminated and really leaning on that finals MVP he won while definitely not being the best player on the Lakers?

Agreed, especially their last shot of regulation, Parker's airball was just as impressive as Jordan's GW.

LaVine is better
Tony was a beast though.

Lol lavine hasn't even won a playoff series yet. But in scoring, he edges him in ppg numbers tho.
I find it funny he outplayed Lebron in the Finals and won a FMVP before him. :lol
Well, that doesn't change the fact that it took kobe more than 10 years just to get his first one. Also, parker isn't younger than lebron just in case you haven't known yet.

I remember him, his username was GP_20 or Glove_20, something to that affect.
Tony Parker was a baller in his prime. Imagine him in today's league: he led the league in points in the paint for the 2005-2006 season. Like a greater slashing, better playmaking, worse shooting Jalen Brunson. Closer to Ja Morant's paint scoring, which has been around the top of the league.
Tony Parker in 29 games without Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili from 2005-2006 to 2012-2013:
- 23.2 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 8.1 apg, 0.8 spg, 0.1 bpg, 3.0 topg
- 51% FG, 80.4% FT, 56.65% TS
- +5.3
- 20-9 (56.5 win-pace)
Lol Jordan didn’t have a few seconds to go the length of the court. And as I already showed, Parker had already outscored Jordan in that stretch and also had more assists. It wasn’t enough to be better than Jordan’s most historic sequence? He had to be SIGNIFICANTLY better?!
Lol, imagine if you guys had that high a standard for other players.

First ballot HOFers (in the most difficult classes) with 4 titles, a FMVP, and as the best player in their run from 2012 on isn’t nothing. Dude was leading the MVP race until he got injured and LeBron edged him.

doh!
Acting like the 3rd best player on the Spurs dynasty was better than LeBron James is insane. Spurs with Tony Parker as the best player never make a single finals :lol
• Jennifer Azzi (player)
•Gene Bess (coach)
• Gary Blair (player)
• Pau Gasol (player)

• Becky Hammon: (player)
• David Hixon: (coach)

• Tony Parker (player)
• Gregg Popovich (coach)

Based on that field of finalists who would you bump Tony for?

I'm starting to wonder if the basketball hall of fame is even all that special. There really needs to be an NBA Hall of Fame with legit standards for being inducted as a player.

I think Parker's career including Eurobaskets is HOF worthy. Same for Pau. So it's ok. There are way worse inductees.
Ofc an NBA only-Baseball standards HOF would be way harder to get in to.
