Good performance but has he done enough?
Ironically if he kept his ass shot splits and was closer to 8 assists as the low, he had it in the bag with 10 apg.

No Jrue did.
He outshot Tatum massively and cut one of the heads off the 2 prong snake Dallas attack aka Irving. Tatum wasn't even guarding anybody. He was on PJ or DJJ.
Brown didn't even defend Luka that well. He averaged almost a 30 point triple double and Jaylen shot signifigantly worse than Holiday.

You lost me there. He made life difficult for Luka.

Yea but Luka still produced. He averaged almost a 30 point triple double. Jrue actually totally shut Kyrie down. That's why the series was so short.

Luka is always going to produce. He averaged 29, which is 5-6 lower than RS and most other series he's played in. And it was a grueling 29. He had to work so hard for it and you could visibly see it throughout the series as games progressed. Dude was gassed and Brown making him work was a big part of that.
He also had almost as many turnovers as assists.
Guarding Luka for a whole game is a tougher job and he did it very well.
Guarding Luka and Kyrie are both brutal tasks. Kyrie just got done icing Conley and the Antman in the WCFs who are considered top defensive guards. And Jrue had him in a straight jacket. And then to top it off he shot on sniper efficiency himself.

29/9/6 is almost a triple double?

That was by far more productive than anybody on Boston.
Jaylen also orchestrated the biggest stretch of the series for Boston at the end of game 3 when Dallas came back. If they lose that game then who knows what happens.

Yea and Jrue had 26 on 80% shooting in game 2 while locking Kyrie up to one of his worst playoffs games ever in what was a close game...... could've easily been 1-1 and a long 6 or 7 game series if not for that performance.

The crowd shut down Kyrie tbh. He played well in Dallas. But the boos in Boston seemed to really rattle him.

The Kyrie scared of Boston is a fun narrative but Jrue had more to do with it
Hell no.
Jaylen deserved it for defending Luka very well.
Luka still averaged 29, but 29 is a bad night for Luka.
And Jaylen picked his pocket bad a few times, that almost never happens.
I actually liked what Jrue & Horford did for the series, more than what Tatum did.
Tatum is “the better player” than all those dudes, but to me, he’s just a boring, monotonous, unitary-rythm basketball robot, with a “fake smooth”, underneath it, he’s just a boring teenager raised by his mom.
I don’t get the appeal of Tatum.
Only real Tatum fan I know, is a 22yo GIRL.

Lol. I really don’t like him.
Arguably
Boston didn't really have one player that stood way up above the rest. Every win it was a different Celtic stepping up into the lead role.
Game-by-game MVP's:
Game 1 Porzingis
Game 2 Holiday
Game 3 Brown
Game 4 Luka
Game 5 Tatum
Since Porzingis missed two games and really wasn't very good outside of Game 1, that leaves Tatum, Brown and Holiday. Any one of those three could have won it and it's fair although I would probably go with Tatum because he's the best player all season long. The best player should get the tiebreaker.
He’s tied for third with Porzingas, after Brown and Holiday.
No, he doesn't. And the "what they gonna say now?" trying to validate himself is cringe af after that kind of playoff performance.

That only means kyrie sucked then. He's not so elite anymore.
