Aside from the embarrassing old man gaff, 5% is still too high. They shouldn't be allowed to raise it more than the inflation rate which has been around 3% forever now. I suppose it's a start though given that they were raising rents insanely higher than 5%. Flat out gouging people.

If they raise taxes, utilities, fees more than 5% a year, then you should be allowed to raise rents more than 5%
