The way it would work is if you make say $160k for example, you'd only be taxed on 10k income. So there is no tax advantage to taking a pay cut.
I will also say, if Trump actually did this? Huge approval rating turn around for him. And it would then be conservatives who are having to do the "mental gymnastics" of pretending they like it, when in reality this is what most of them call "socialism".
If Kamala won and did this? We'd be labeled a full blown communist country.

i just don't want to pay any taxes out of principle. i'd get a jewish accountant to hack the rest, aka sell my house to my business so each payment would be a business expense, sell my cars to the business as well. the jews are very good at this.
