Larry David writes an op-ed in NYT harshly criticizing Bill Maher's dinner with Trump

My Thoughts:
- If Trump is Hitler, what does that make his CYE co-star Cheryl Hines? She's married to RFK who's in Trump's cabinet. Is he saying that Cheryl Hines is a nazi too? Yikes.
- I predict this will be what pushes Bill Maher completely over to the other side. He won't admit so right away because he has to preserve his reputation and it would look too obvious, but mark my words by 2028 Maher will come out as MAGA or he will be backing the MAGA candidate in the election.

Maher has been an idiot for years now, he fits right in with MAGA

Re: Larry David writes an op-ed in NYT harshly criticizing Bill Maher's dinner with T
pretty trash writing, tbh. Why do these people continue to debase themselves on account of Trump?
You know, if someone came out with some actually good Trump satire (and this should be known by the Trump impersonators that have had success by not being one dimensional memes,) it could be a best seller and would probably win a prize. Yet, nobody can muster more than this sort of trash.
Sad I skimmed.

The next thing after calling it MAGA movement and MAGA candidate will be a MAGA salute.

I can see where Larry is coming from here. Maher is a left leaning liberal, who is making Trump a "buddy". In his eyes Mahar is "sleeping with the enemy".
Honestly it's a unique situation. Maher plead for everyone to vote Kamala, and he would still vote Kamala today, but at the same time he's laughing it up with Trump on the premise of "yeah these libs can be crazy sometimes".
I do appreciate Mahar calling out the left when it needs to be done, however, in this situation? Trump already won the Presidency, there is no point to it now. I think at this point Mahar is just trying to make waves in the name of publicity.

So dumb...
I guess one cant be friends with individuals who share a difference of political opinion. Such a juvenile line of thought.

Do you have a lot of liberal friends?
Serious question, not trying to dig at you. I agree that it's fine to have friends that have differing political opinions, in fact if you have a decent amount of friends it is probably inevitable.
Would you have a friendly dinner with Kamala Harris?

Projecting by asking a legit question?
I am now thinking that you do not understand what projecting means. Projecting is accusing someone of something because you yourself are guilty. You are "projecting" your own flaws onto them. This is where you say "thanks captain obvious low-iq" or something like that but the post you quoted is not one that "projects" anything at all so the obvious is in question with you. Or you're just high on drugs, that is possible.

this question goes far beyond political boundaries. i wouldn't be caught dead with that woman. i'd probably say something to her in the midst of our dinner conversation, she'd cackle at something that wasn't even funny and i'd have to choke the life out of her without hesitation. i'd be obligated for the sake of the human race to do so.

Kamala's a poor example because she genuinely has zero charisma and seems like she'd likely be awkward to socialize with. Obama's a better example, Republicans really disliked him but I bet the majority would enjoy having dinner or a beer with him.

Everybody takes themselves way too seriously. So called comics like David and Maher. Real estate business mogul reality TV star turned politicians like Trump. Average jerk off district attorneys like Kamala Harris. And all the little peon media consumers.

You must be snorting coke.. you know, from the bag found in the white house from the last Democrat who lived there. Okay, so who are the ones running those 'libtard' confederate flags on their trucks? Do you think it's purple haired lgbtq activists? Are you taking the over or under if I claim 98% of KKK members this election voted for Trump? Do you think Teddy Roosevelt, who fought for the Sherman Act to abolish monopolies would agree with Ronald Reagan who worked to union bust and abolish pensions so he can use 401k's to marry the retirement fates of the working man with the top 1%? Do you think Roosevelt's Republican party is the same as Reagan's? Is the left defending seig heils or is that mostly the right?
What a party represents TODAY matters more than a party's history.
Hitler:
Discredited the media
pushed Nationalism
tried domesticate manufacturing by means of tariffs(this didn't work. It created mass shortages in consumer goods to the point where Germany had to ration. The supply issues would have been even worse if the German economy didn't have the luxury of slave labor aka concentration camps)
did mass deportation
Which US party today does this sound like? Look it up.

The entire deep south was Dem and the north was Republican.
"Democrat" and "Republican" do not denote anything on the political spectrum. They are only PARTIES. They can change their stances on anything they want at any time.

Righties really need to stop declaring that the Dems are the racist Nazi group. No one buys that. Not even the ones saying it.
Just be in acceptance of it. Hitler was a righty. Like you.

Re: Larry David writes an op-ed in NYT harshly criticizing Bill Maher's dinner with T
Crazy to think the more anti-semitic side is the liberals, that's all I'll say. There's a reason most Jews vote liberal. And yeah anti-semitism is a problem across all ideologies, as are all forms of bigotry, no ideology is free of bigoted assholes. But it sure seems like the majority of the most vocal ones in America are Republicans.

Pichai, Musk, Zuck
That is who controls our media influence now.
People REALLY need to understand this.
CNN had 50 million viewers in 2024
Mr. Beast has had a single video with over 1 billion views.
We are social media now.

Jewish people are pretty split. The elites: the ones who control our financial system like Bill Ackman, media moguls like Zuckerberg, the Israel lobbyists were overwhelmingly pro Trump during the election; but afaik most Jewish people who aren’t in the club typically vote blue despite not agreeing with dems either. Lesser of the evils, I guess.
