Either a tough crowd or things just flew over their heads
"When Caitlin Clark retires from the WNBA she's going to work at a waffle house so she can continue doing what she loves most...fist fighting black women."
:oldlol:

The monologue was a win. It was definitely something with the crowd. Like they're afraid to laugh at a semi-controversial joke.
For some reason that cut makes it seem awkward.
I just watched the full opening and its much better, flows better.

Gillis is naturally funny for sure but he sometimes commits so hard to being offensive that it takes away from it a little.
Not necessarily the case here but just in general when he gets on larger stages like this. His standard sets when he's not trying too hard to do that are always more natural and better.
Shane Gillis seems like he would be a really fun guy to hang around with. I always feel like he is naturally the funniest dude on those "protect our parks" podcasts.
The pretend wnba all star friends wife was hilarious :lol
Put all the woke hypocrites right in their place:roll:
Dog wife was epic

Also put Trump in his place with the Epstein joke.

Damn you turned on Trump?

Shane is ****ing hilarious. Killed it.
The WNBA joke with Matt McCusker's wife was insane.
Edit: double post
That hey girlll to KAT was a flagrant foul. :lol
I wish they showed his reaction. SGA caught feelings on his joke.

He reminds me of Danny mcbride Kenny powers.

I feel that way about Burr or CK, but not Shane.

Flow isn't what I'd use to describe this guy. His delivery is purposefully choppy. He'll get some zingers in, then decide to stop the laughs with something dry. I don't know why a comedian would do that
His joke about KAT was over the line though. Beyond controversial to whatever the next level is. If KAT isn't gay, he has to feel horrible. If he is gay, he's hiding it for personal reasons and this isn't doing him any favors. KATs not an ahole, criminal, or attention whore so he doesn't really deserve that brutal swipe at the ESPYs of all places

If "Hey girlll" is a brutal swipe then this whole generation has become paper soft.
There's something very wholesome about Shane Gillis. He's like the team clown who is always able to make everyone laugh.

Im just saying that whole monologue flows better/gives off a better impression than the cut.

Burr is a cuck
Some stuff was funny. But he had some dry spots which took away momentum. Also think his delivery isn’t smooth. Sounds like he’s reading the jokes off a paper. Not familiar with him as a comedian. First time seeing him was on college gameday when he joked on Saban who was uptight. He seems like a good comedian to host a roast. But again just off his espy performance he needs some work. Too many dry moments.

What generation would sit there and let someone question their manhood? Not even here to defend this generation. But your comment lacks sense. You think a person from the 80’s would laugh/be ok with that joke?
