2026 Draft Prospects
Figured I'd start a thread about the draft rather than posting about prospects in different threads.
Let's start off with Koa Peat who dropped 30 on the defending champs along with 5 assists and 4 stocks.

College ball really doesn't suit AJ. He wants to beat guys off the dribble and attack the rim but there is no illegal D in college. Teams can pack the paint so he ends up driving into traffic. In a way it might help him because he will have to kick it out to shooters more than he would normally.

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Leading up to the season i was trying to figure out why Boozer is rated so highly. I see a guy with average athleticism and skills. Not surprised he struggled in his first game going 3-12 from the field.

He will be a top two pick. Have fun with boozer

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
i watched AJ in a game for the first time and the thing that stood out was that he is very quick. It is going to be hard for any defender to stay in front of him.

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
I know it’s only game 1 but Peterson looked like SGA already.

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Great thread, guys.:cheers:I don't have time to follow college ball, but I will definitely pop in here to see how the season goes and how the future stars of the league develop. Keep it up!!!

Thanks
Mikel Brown Jr is another likely top 10 pick. Deep range and good handles.
This was an exhibition game but still impressive.

Minus the foul baiting & flopping like a Magikarp every time he drives to the basket

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Peterson looks insanely advanced. His jumper is nice, handles are excellent, first step is nuts, and the scoring instincts are there. Great athleticism and wingspan too.

You're going to have to let go. Trust me, you'll feel better :lol
The comp is there. Really smooth handle, great footwork, jumper he can get off from anywhere and make at a high level, good but not elite athleticism. Also ability to step back and play a PG type role as well. He could be like a 23-24ppg scorer here since Kansas also doesn't really have any other big-time scoring weapons.

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Kansas playing UNC at 7 on ESPN, Peterson vs Caleb Wilson.

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Caleb is very active on D. He goes aggressively for loose balls and rebounds. His jumper looked surprisingly good. He made a couple of MJ turnaround fadeaways from midrange. On the other hand he is pretty weak physically and his handles are definitely suspect. Not sure where to place him now.
Peterson looked good but somewhat disengaged, like 'Im just here because i have to be'. I got a similar vibe from Harper last season. NBA body already. Looked good from 3 and driving. Didnt show much playmaking though.

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Caleb Wilson on his kill list “before every game I have a list. This game I wrote down my feelings after the all American game when I didn’t touch the ball. And D.Peterson was on the team.”
Hahahahaa mamba mentality

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Neo just had a huge game against Providence. He was close to declaring last year. Good size with pg skills. His shooting history has been inconsistent. If his shooting holds up he could make a big move up the mocks.

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Byu lost one of their ball handlers for the year so aj will have the ball even more when wright is sitting

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Hey guys?
The prospect discussion starts and ends with Bryce James. Got it?
Give him his damn respect.
-
Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Stay in college son
Bryce James' specific draft position in the 2026 NBA draft is not projected yet, as there are no reliable mock drafts or official rankings that include him. He is considered a potential prospect, and some sources suggest he could be a late-round pick, especially if he develops well in college with the Arizona Wildcats. However, his draft stock is still very uncertain, and it's too early to know where he will be projected.

Re: 2026 Draft Prospects
Mikel Brown Jr showed out vs Kentucky, 29/5 with only 1 turnover.
