yeah about 90% of americans have some other race in them besides their obvious one because of native americans mixing with whites slavery and intergration and immigration etc
Never posted in any of these cyclical threads, but felt like doing so this time...
WTF is "mixed-race"?
Do you realize every single guy on Earth is "mixed-race" to some extent?
When does a player "stop" being white and becomes "black" or some other delightful color?
You know, just when I thought I finally understood this race-thing mess -"just look at the color of the skin, they said"- I discover blue-eyed Jason Kidd is black -and my brother here, being dark-eyed, dark-haired and natural-tanned is as white as the princess of Norway or myself.
I wonder how blind people feel about this nonsense.

Yeah, but those are more distant mixed ancestors. The players listed on the first post have parents who are two different races. They're really really mixed.

Jordan Farmar's Ethnicity is Half Jewish, and Half African American
Wikipedia states that Lopez twins are half Cuban since their dad is Cuban, but mom is American. Don't know how true that is.

According to Wikipedia, it is only Gilbert's paternal great-grandfather who was Cuban. Not exactly half-Cuban. Hell, not really Cuban in any sense unless you wanna stretch it.

There's no such thing as 'race' as commonly understood by laymen. It's better to think of it as clusters of populations. For example, there are more genetic population clusters in Africa than anywhere else. Calling them all "black" would be wildly ignorant. You might have more in common with an Australian aborigine than certain African clusters do to each other.
