Brook Lopez

Easily becoming one of my favorite players. He certainly quieted his critics and got himself known as a pretty good center.

13ppg 8 rbg 2bpg

I am really excited about watching him next year. He already has some pretty nice post moves and has a nice J.

Am I the only one really excited about him for next season? Not only us Nets fans or whoever else see's this thread?

I personally think he can be an allstar next year. 18 and 10 is my prediction.

Cant wait!

He more than likely won't be an all star next season, but I indeed love his game. Great upside and potential at the center position. Last season we were able to see his maturation throughout the year and improved post game by the end of the season. I look forward to seeing more of it.

I wouldnt be surprised if he has all star like numbers next year but wont get on cause our teams record is to crappy.
He'll definitely have a double double season though now that Vince is gone. Him and Yi HAVE to step on the boards this season or else we are totally screwed.

Re: Brook Lopez

mister pez dispenser hinted a couple times last year that he needed help on the boards- couldn't do it all himself. hard to imagine yi getting much better there, so where is the help going to come from? maybe this is something that can be solved in the next two years with the four first-round draft picks we have...

anyway, seeing as how pez is one of the brightest spots on the team, if not THE brightest spot, it's hard not to be excited about him next season. and with the league-wide lack of center talent, he's already close to being a perennial all-star IMO. but harris has got to do a better job this year getting him involved and keeping him involved. even if pez' scoring efficiency goes down, we very much need him to get the reps.

18 ppg, 10 rpg, and 2.9 bpg next year.

Rebounding isn't one of his strong suits but he showed improvement over the course of the last season. I think him and YI are both capable of averaging 10+ rebounds next year and beyond.

I really like the talent overall on this team, Lopez is a great example of why.

I didn't say he would, I said he's capable. He's that good of a rebounder. He uses his length really well in those situations. If he puts it all together, he can average 10+ rebounds absolutely.

not to be too much of a dick, but everyone's capable of great things if they put it all together.

if yi grabs 2.5 more rebounds this year then it will be a great accomplishment by the standards of the NBA... which would still only put him at less than 8pg. would you like to make a bet about yi's rebounding this season?
