This is the weakest draft in over a decade.

There are 24 futrue NBA PG's in this draft and 22 PF's
It's weak as far as 3's go, but dudes in this draft that would normally go in the first round will drop to the second round and some will even fall out of the draft because there is so much talent.

Yo, fatboy, who's going to Houston? Can he put us over the top?

Hopefully Shelden Williams or Brandon Roy. I think either one could make us really danger.

Ronnie Brewer, Rodney Carney, or Marcus Williams would really help us, but not as much as the other two.

A Roc 23 06-07-2006 08:51 PM

I thought Brewer was the surefire ROY?

A lot of good players were drafted a little later on though.

9-Amare
10-Caron
23-Prince
25-Krstic
35-Boozer

He is.

I'm thinking past that.

He's done nothing, but he was highly-regarded on a few mock drafts before concern over his buyout allegedly caused him to slide on draft day.

Alright, JPR. I'll be fair. Yesterday I posted an article from DraftExpress saying that Augustine was unimpressive yesterday.

Now I'll post this little blurb from Chad Ford:
Quote:

James Augustine, F, Illinois: The guy is anything but flashy, but he hustles on both ends of the floor and does the little things that matter in the NBA.

His final box score wasn't gaudy -- 11 points and 11 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass. But it was the only double double in the first day ... and something we've come to expect from Augustine over the years. Augustine once again showed that he's reluctant to use the offensive weapons he has, which is troubling. Still, given the dearth of athletic big men in the draft, Augustine is one of the few campers here with a chance to rise.

Just being fair to your "first round lock".

This draft is pretty flimsy but it should produce a handful of players who will have good NBA careers.

You're joking, right?

80 players is like 25% of the league.
