Boston Baby!!!

Ray Allen is not too fond of Bruce Bowen.
Ray Allen is not too fond of Bruce Bowen.
Ray Allen is 33 years old and in the last year of his contract. He just wants to win.
And everyone saw this coming as soon as the deal was announced. Bowen is finding his way back to the Spurs.
Bowen ought to go to Cleveland.
I'll take him in Denver for garbage time.

He can be Ray's punching bag in practice.:D
He can be Ray's punching bag in practice.:D
Huh?
Bruce Bowen is a f*cking Ninja. Ray will be used for kicking practice by Bowen

that'd be righteous. i think he's got another season in him.
that'd be righteous. i think he's got another season in him.
yup but his D ain't what it used to be.
If Bowen goes anywhere its b/c of his rep and thats it. He was completely worthless last year. He may as well be Devean George now.
He may as well be Devean George now.
Sweet! So then the Celts could pick him up and trade him for Belinelli.

I wouldn't go that far.
he's surely lost a step, i mean he's 38.
i don't know that i'd say he's completely worthless though. the spurs coaching staff opted to go with offense over defense last year so bowen saw very little playing time (as he's limited offensively) and finley saw big time minutes.
what i did see though, when bowen did see time on the court, is that he's still a talent.
one of the high points i remember from last season was bowen getting out there and locking up j j barrea. i don't think barrea's that great a player, but he is quick as ****. and for bowen to be able to get out there, just a mere few months ago, and chase that guy around says something about what he can still do.
I'll go way out on a limb on this one and predict that he makes his way back to the Spurs.

Instead can we get like, Perkins or maybe Big Baby this time?
Bowen is going to retire IMO. I've read that he doesn't want to play basketball just to play basketball. Meaning he's been in San Antonio for like 6-7 years, I don't see him putting on another jersey for the vet min, when he's already gotten his championships, gotten his millions.
Didnt he have a falling out with Popovich over coming off the bench?
I think Bowen gives it 1 last shot for a Championship Contender, specifically Boston, Cleveland or OKC. Play 1 last season, before transitioning into an assistant coach the following season.
He is going to retire and live in San Antonio. He has said many times that S.A is his home. He wants to live there. He may come play in S.A for one more year, but I doubt. It doesn't matter though, he is going to retire a happy man.
He has his Championships, his Defensive Reputation and sucess, his career is finished and he had a good one.

Since when do OKC and Championship contender come in the same sentence?

dirty plays up for grabs.
dirty plays up for grabs.
What are you talking about? Kobe isn't a Free Agent. :confusedshrug:
At this point, even with BB being 50 he still has value to a team. A guy who knows where to be on the floor on D and does not make mistakes can get a job if he will play cheep. It is not just rep. His rep IS that he has lost a step. Teams know this. I bet he is not done.

i remember that.
Back to the Spurs I assume.
I'll go way out on a limb on this one and predict that he makes his way back to the Spurs.
I read somewhere when he was traded that that bridge has fallen ie he won't be going back to SA.
It's time for Bowen to retire as his rep can't make up for his lack of skillz at age 38.

+1
collusion
Boston Baby!!!
Yeah, because what Boston needs is another 38 year old player.
Who need's defense when you can do this?

I've heard similar things, but it still wouldn't surprise me if they worked something out.

why would CLE or BOS need him?
(Moon / Daniels)
Going back to the Spurs...............
why would CLE or BOS need him?

To keep increasing their average age.
To keep increasing their average age.
You have a point. :D
The spurs are definitely going to pick him up. Mark my words. Bowen loves SA too much and he means too much to the organization for him not to go back. Everyone in SA wants him back from the owner to the fans. Bowen made a name for himself and won multiple rings in SA and he can see that they have obviously gotten better. He will go back to SA.

no he didn't
come to D.C.? We kinda sorta don't have any defense...
