Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
TWIN FALLS, Idaho -- Nate Miles, a freshman expelled earlier this month from the University of Connecticut, has enrolled at the College of Southern Idaho.
The news was first reported by ESPN.com's Andy Katz.
Miles, a 6-foot-7 forward, from Toledo, Ohio, arrived in Twin Falls on Tuesday. He started classes at the junior college Wednesday and took part in his first practice with the team.
Miles, 20, was expelled from UConn after being arrested for violating a restraining order in September. The complaint has since been dismissed.
Junior college rules require that Miles serve a 16-week probationary period, meaning he will not be able to take play in any Golden Eagles games until Feb. 6.
Well, I am glad that Nate is able to attend school (in Idaho), that is huge. I hope that all goes well for him and his family.

Coombs, Robinson possibly
Oriakhi
Thabeet
Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
Thabeet with 23 pts, 17 rebs, 3 blocks vs. Western Carolina. Dyson also had 23.

Actually, Thabeet had 5 blocks. Anyways, I hope Durand Scott was impressed with UConn and chooses the Huskies over the 'Canes.
Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
Nice way to start off the season...with a nice win.

Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
5 blocks. 3 blocks. Whatever. Hasheem played terrific!!! Was it me or did it seem like Hasheem just took over the game? 17 boards..Wow. I am just in awe at how much he has improved over the years. This dude is a force. I am just glad that he is on my side.
We play Hartford next. I can't wait until Monday.

Funny thing is its a home game for UConn and its being played in Hartford... I'd say atleast 2/3 of the state is for UConn though.
Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
Why didn't Ater Mojak( i think thats his name) play?

Big Mojak won't be eligible until the second semester.
Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
Durand Scott supposedly has Miami as his favorite because they are farther from home... for some reason I think its something else.:ohwell:
Re: Connecticut Huskies fan thread
The Huskies women program had me worried today. With about 3 mins left in the game, they allowed Georgia Tech to cut the lead down to 3 pts. But in typical UConn fashion, we kick it into another gear and pull ahead...
UConn:79
Georgia Tech:66
Nice win, Ladies.
