Re: 2009 European basketball championship (Eurobasket) discussion
Serbia lost to Turkey after overtime 69-64 (64-64). Shame that Serbia didnt score in OT and Turkey scored 1 in first 4 minutes of OT...

He's a very overrated player. He will be an average player at the Euroleague level.

France beats Greece on a buzzer beater by Nando De Colo.

He has been drafted by the Spurs I think.
See him as a decent role player at best in the NBA.

He's a good shooter, good ball handler, and nice fundamentals. He's also a clutch shooter. However he is pretty awful on defense and he's a bit lacking athletically. He reminds me a bit of like a Jon Barry type of player.

For a guy drafted 53rd, I think he may become a huge steal. Howevern he's already 22 and isn't coming to the NBA soon.

By the time he does the Spurs will be in rebuilding mode.
Re: 2009 European basketball championship (Eurobasket) discussion
It's definitely a good deal for the Spurs, his potential is crazy. He has such an instinct for the game, the kind of guy who's gonna grab a loose ball and immediately throw a behind the back pass to a running teammate. I'm amazed by some of the decisions he makes in less than a quarter of a second, it's just pure talent.
But right now he's still a high risk player who can completely disrupt an offense, in that he reminds me of a young Ginobili (not as good of course).
Re: 2009 European basketball championship (Eurobasket) discussion
Serbia 63
Lithuania 61
end of the 3rd quarter
If Serbia lose then France will avoid Spain in the quarter-finals from what I gather.
Re: 2009 European basketball championship (Eurobasket) discussion
Spain beating Poland quite easily right now
40-24 in the 2nd quarter
Serbia won earlier.
Re: 2009 European basketball championship (Eurobasket) discussion
Spain is up by 20 points in the third quarter. Does anybody know what happens if Slovenia beats Turkey? Do they get the first place, or does Turkey have it locked?
