is it Stairway to Heaven?
Yup
I've seen Bohemian Rhapsody get several mentions.
If someone put a gun to my head I would definitely say Stairway to Heaven... seems to be society's go to.
Probably a Beethoven or Mozart song...

This or a Beatles song.
Imagine or Jude
It's obviously "Don't Stop Believing"
It's obviously "Don't Stop Believing"
/drunk girl answer
That's after the fifth shot, earlier in the evening it was "Freebird"
I don't even know why "Stairway to Heaven" is the first song to come to my head but it was.
Sidenote, Wayne's World really threw me off the trail with Stairway and I finally found out why after reading about the movie last week. They lost the rights to use the first five notes for any version of the Stairway to Heaven except for the one shown in theatres. Since my first brush with Wayne's World was on VHS, the riff Wayne played in the "No Stairway" scene was nothing like what I'd eventually discover Stairway to be.

Stairway's build up from beginning to end is just epic.

Imagine was not made as part of The Beatles, it was on John Lennon's solo album.
How John Lennon came up with the lyrics.

Exactly, people have different preferences and therefore their definition of best song will differ from another group of people.

Aerosmith - I dont wanna miss a thing
Bruce springsteen - Born to run
eagles - Hotel CAlifornia
Led Zepplin - Stariway to heaven
Lynyrd Skynard - Sweet Home Alabama
Queen - Bohemian Rhaposdy and We are the Champions
Stiltskin - Inside

I see Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" very high up on lists for greatest songs ever.
Same with:
Marvin Gaye- "What's Goin On"
Beach Boys- "Good Vibrations"
Aretha Franklin- "Respect"
Nirvana- "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Nah it's all good. People love those songs. They piss me off, I feel like I'm the outlier.
Sweet Home Alabama is a staple at suburban bars and country hole in the walls. You would think people get sick of them but to no avail.

I think I read somewhere that you are from Sweet ol Alabama, it should be your favorite.
Wack bitch
You are wack until you list your favorites.
A few songs I think should be in consideration are:
Memory Lane
New York State of Mind
The Next Episode
Me Against the World
Rap >>>>>>>> Rock
If you're talking rock music it's usually Stairway, Free Bird, Bohemian, Hotel California, November Rain, Dream On, and Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Fur Elise
