Re: 2012 Trade Deadline Deal: Derek Fisher and a first to Houston for Jordan Hill
Looks like Sessions is gonna start. That is why Fish had to be moved. He would have pouted on the bench
It had more to do with bench depth. Best of luck to Fisher. Helped us win titles with his clutch shooting and veteran leadership.
Re: 2012 Trade Deadline Deal: Derek Fisher and a first to Houston for Jordan Hill
I gotta say in the not so many minutes i saw the rockets play, Hill played well, not sure Rockets will get a better player with the pick.
But alas, Rockets were hellbent in helping the Lakers.

Re: 2012 Trade Deadline Deal: Derek Fisher and a first to Houston for Jordan Hill
The whole "we need his playoff experience" thing is such a ridiculous, played out cliche for casual fans to prattle on about.
Not really. In key moments, inexperienced teams tend to fail. Having someone with extensive experience in clutch moments is a much bigger factor than people realize. If your team doesn't have it, you miss it.
Memphis will have the talent to come out of the West, but won't because they lack that veteran experience. Just look at their last game against the Lakers, where they were unable to close due to making several dumb mistakes.

Hill sucks dude is a total bust. I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers just let him walk this offseason which is a move that will come back to bite them.

This isn't even remotely a universal fact.
OKC had talent last season, as well as guys like Nate Robinson and Perkins with Finals/championship experience. Spurs had talent and veteran experience. Hornets have had talent along with vets like Peja and James Posey in previous years. The Lakers lost Derek Fisher, not Kobe. They'll be fine without him.
People need to stop overrating Fisher's impact in this respect; on the floor, nobody was asking Fisher what they should do when the chips were down. They were looking to Kobe, or in previous years waiting for Jackson to draw up a play. Leading a team in the clutch and simply being open for a clutch perimeter shots are two 100% completely different things.
Re: 2012 Trade Deadline Deal: Derek Fisher and a first to Houston for Jordan Hill
Lakers fans really are the lowest life form on earth. After all Fisher has done the least you would expect is some respect, and not reacting like you've just taken a huge dump.
Re: 2012 Trade Deadline Deal: Derek Fisher and a first to Houston for Jordan Hill
Jordan Hill is honestly one of the worst players in the league... He's almost as bad as Thabeet

 He's not a bad player at all. He'll be a solid backup to Pau and Bynum.

Ok Donnie....still defensive about taking him instead of Jennings eh? Jordan Hill can shoot mid range jumpers...great...... He's also extremely nervous on the floor, has a horrible basketball iq, poor offensive awareness, takes too long to decide what move to make, can not adjust to defenses, and fumbles passes he receives.
Jordan Hill SUCKS

No. Believe it or not, not everyone is GREAT or SUCKS. Most guys are in the middle.
He's a decent player. His numbers are pretty good for the minutes he plays. For the Lakers to basically get him for nothing is a good pickup.

No..it's really not. You trade away a guy that should have retired a Laker..whether effective or not....for a piece of trash. Jordan Hill wishes he could be Mikki Moore.
By the way...you know Donnie picking Hill over Jennings is the reason LeBron isn't here right?
LeBron felt we didnt have enough talent, and wasn't confident in the way the front office handled the 08 and 09 drafts (Gallinari instead of Eric Gordon, and Jordan Hill instead of Brandon Jennings).
Had Jennings been on our roster July 1st, + the Amare signing....good chance LeBron would be here right now.
